Amy gets booed at EMAs
Amy Winehouse’s appearance at last night’s MTV Awards in Munich was one of the most hotly-anticipated of the night – but she left fans disappointed with a shambolic performance. Amy also got booed when she didn’t show the expected amount of gratitude for her Artists’ Choice award, merely muttering, “Er, fanks” before stumbling off stage. Despite weeks of speculation, she also didn’t perform with Pete Doherty – although he did confirm on the night that the troubled pair have written a song together about their “issues” (bloody hell, it must be a long one). Come back at 10am to see Amy’s controversial performance of Back To Black in full.

Those EMA winners in full
While Amy’s dishevelled performance may not have picked up any viewers' awards last night, she was named Artists Choice. Pop-rock grouch Avril Lavigne picked up two gongs: Most Addictive Track for Girlfriend, and Solo Artist. Muse also scored two awards as Headliner, and Best UK and Ireland. Rihanna picked up the Ultimate Urban Award, while Nelly Furtado’s Loose was named Album of The Year. Other winners were Jared Leto's band 30 Seconds To Mars, rockers Linkin Park, dance act Justice and, er, Tokio Hotel. Who?

Simon: "Sharon's got no chance"
As we all prepare our ears for another bashing this Saturday, X Factor judge Simon Cowell has spoken out about who he thinks has no chance of winning the show, and, predictably, he hasn’t minced his words. Talking about fellow judge Sharon Osbourne, he remarked, “She hasn’t got a cat in hell’s chance.” When asked who he thought would reach the final, he said, “I think it will be Niki Evans, Rhydian Roberts or one of the groups.” With Leona currently taking the music world by storm, the comparisons between her and the new batch of hopefuls are even more acute, with even Simon admitting, “Anyone who is compared to Leona, not just X Factor contestants, isn’t great.” We can only hope that all the nerves have vanished by this weekend, because gazing at sexy Andy can only get you so far…

Richard & Judy to quit
Today is a sad day for television as everyone’s favourite presenting couple have decided to call it quits. Yes, it is with great sadness that heatworld can confirm Richard and Judy are to leave their Channel 4 chat show. The pair, who have been presenting daytime TV shows for 20 years, will complete their final programme together at the end of next summer. Judy, 59, is planning to wind down her TV career in favourite of writing books, while 51 year-old Richard will pursue a solo presenting career. The duo, who won us over with their cute bickering every time Richard put his foot in it (often), deny rumours that they were to be axed, and insist the decision to leave was all their own. Don’t worry, guys, that Ali G sketch will stay in our, erm, hearts forever
