Leona breaks world record!
Is there no end to this girl’s success? Leona Lewis has only gone and broken a world record now by having the fastest-selling UK debut album EVER – selling 200 copies EVERY MINUTE!! Spirit has stormed into the Number One spot, beating the Spice Girls Greatest Hits by a whopping 300,000 copies. Last year the Arctic Monkeys were in the same position with their debut album, but Leona has sold a huge 12,000 copies more than the Sheffield lads. She is also still holding onto the top spot in the singles chart with Bleeding Love – the best-selling single of the year. An understandably smug Simon Cowell said yesterday, “This is Leona’s day. I am absolutely thrilled for her.” Wonder if any of this year’s, ahem, talented X Factor contestants will have the same success…

Rhys Meyers arrested
Jonathan Rhys Meyers was arrested at Dublin airport over the weekend after a booze-fuelled bust up with airport staff. The 30-year-old Tudors star launched a furious rant at a female employee after being told he was “unfit to travel”. The drunk star was arrested and charged with two public order offences, while the woman he yelled at was left "shaken" (but not stirred. Sorry...) When Meyers finally appeared, tail firmly between his legs, outside the police station, he admitted sheepishly, “I said the wrong thing to the wrong woman at the wrong time.” He will now have to appear in court in December – the silly, silly boy.

Kanye breaks down
Kanye West broke down on stage – just a week after his mother, Donda passed away. The singer was kicking off his European tour in Paris and had to be consoled by his band when he dedicated a song – Hey Mama – to his mum, leaving him unable to continue performing. Donda died after cosmetic surgery complications.

Geri targets Angelina
Watch out Angelina – Halliwell has set her sights on you to become her new best friend! Insiders say Geri intends for Bluebell to have the very best of celeb play friends, and Angelina's brood more than fits the criteria. The pal said, "Geri dotes on Bluebell and only wants the very best for her. Geri has sent personal invites to Angelina. She has a lot of respect for her, as a fellow UN ambassador and for the charity work she does. She also thinks she is an amazing mum, and believes it would be lovely for Bluebell to meet her children."
