X Factor and Strictly losers hit back
Saturday night saw a controversial night of television, with both reality TV shows booting off some of their best acts. Strictly Come Dancing contestant Dominic Littlewood was put in the bottom two by the public and was kicked off by judges after going head to head with John Barnes, even though his dance routine was flawless. Meanwhile, over on ITV, X Factor's Futureproof were voted off the show despite them being one of the favourites to win and arguably some of the best talents the show has this year. But Simon Cowell has blamed himself *jaw hits desk* for the lads getting the chop, saying he had "chosen the wrong songs". Both camps have since had their say (of course) with Dominic branding the show a circus and claiming it's rigged. Richard Wilkinson (Argos Will Young from Futureproof) saying that last minute changes made by Cowell were the reason they had done so badly. What do you reckon? Were they robbed or just being bad losers?
Posh ordered to put on weight
Skinny Victoria Beckham has been ordered to put on weight for the upcoming Spice Tour. The emaciated star will be put on a diet to ensure she piles on the pounds amidst fears that she is too thin for the gruelling dates which kick off in December – and, for the first time EVER, Posh will chow down on some carbs! A source said, "Vic is under orders to have at least five small meals a day to get her body prepared for the tour. She isn't too happy about the plan but understands that it's necessary if she's to stay healthy and not burn out over the coming months."
Boyzone are back!
Take That have done it. East 17 gave it a go. And even the Backstreet Boys have pulled it off, but now it’s the turn of Boyzone. Yep, Ronan, Stephen, Mikey, Shane and Keith have finally announced after months of speculation that they will reform for Children In Need and may even go on to complete a full tour. Lead crooner Ronan Keating said, “We have been talking about it for a while now and decided to go out there and have a go at it.”The man band, who split seven years ago after selling in excess of 15million albums, have not yet confirmed their long-term plans, but have hinted that a tour and a new album are in the pipeline. “We are thinking about doing a tour,” Ronan explained, before admitting, “We haven’t got any plans to release a new album but we will see what happens.” Will the boys have the same success as Take That? That’ll be up to the fans. In sadder music news, Kylie has cancelled her forthcoming world tour after doctors told her it would be too much. The pint-sized singer said, “It breaks my heart. I take my health very seriously.” Poor Kylie, we’re happy to wait until the next one.
FINALLY Christina confirms she's preggers
The most non-shocking news story of the day? Christina Aguliera has finally confirmed that she is indeed expecting a baby. After doing such a great job of hiding it, by, erm, wearing tight-fitting tops and shopping for buggies, the singer told a magazine that she is going to “enter into mommyhood” at the start of next year. The star admitted she was a bit anxious, saying, “I want to get it right.” We wonder if she’ll be visiting old pal Britney to get some advice on perfect parenting? Maybe not.
