Amy's parents speak out:
Amy Winehouse’s dad Mitch has hit back at claims that the singer has been abandoned by her family. His attack follows an open letter to Amy from her mum in a Sunday newspaper, which begged the singer to come home. There have been reports that Amy is no longer in contact with her parents, but dad Mitch fumed, “It is absolute rubbish to suggest no one has been in touch with Amy. We’re getting sick of the sight of each other, we’re seeing each other that much.” He went on to claim that Amy is being monitored at all times by people who care about her. But Amy’s mum Janis pleaded in her open letter, “Your father and I know what you’re like, Amy. We want to help you, but we know that unless you want to be helped – unless you come to us – anything we tried would be in vain.” Confused yet? We are. heatworld doesn’t know about you, but when our mum’s worried about us she simply picks up the phone rather than sending us a note via the local paper.
Len and Craig make up after TV row
Ooh! It’s all tantrums and tempers over at Sequin HQ. Strictly Come Dancing fans were left shocked on Saturday night after judges Len Goodman and Craig Revel Horwood had a huge bust up live on air, with Len even threatening to quit the show. The row erupted after Craig dared to criticise Len’s favourite contestant, EastEnders’ hottie Matt Di Angelo, saying “You annoyed me. Your timing was out the majority of the dance.” But fear not, Strictly fans, the pair are going to meet up tonight for a cosy dinner to make amends. Wonder if they’ll go out dancing afterwards...
Britney's turning into a kleptomaniac
Britney Spears is robbing again. The fallen pop star is trying to impress the courts so that she can regain custody of her two boys – but her recent behaviour will do nothing to persuade otherwise. Caught stealing a 70p lighter from a petrol station she screamed at waiting paparazzi, " I am bad". Such maturity.
Ramsay criticised for poor hygiene
Gordon Ramsay has been criticised by inspectors for poor hygiene in his kitchens. We imaging the "F" word was used liberally when the chef came a cropper after cleaning materials were found stored next to food in his Michelin-starred restaurant in Chelsea. It was also reported last September that "wash basins should only be used for washing hands. Staff were observed rinsing cleaning cloths in one." Plus an order was made to "thoroughly clean" the freezer. Antony Worrall Thompson also came under fire – with his restaurant Notting Grill in West London.
