First it was fashion guru Karl Lagerfeld who hailed Amy Winehouse a style leader, and now Victoria Beckham says she admires the singer's quirky image too. Posh said, "She has a real sense of style that I just love. She's very much a fashion icon and I adore what she wears. She's so unique and original... I've never met her but I just love her music – I've always got it on at home with David and the children. She's an amazing singer." We bet Amy will be thrilled (for "thrilled" read "not even vaguely arsed').

Alan Davies attacks homeless man
Jonathan Creek star Alan Davies has been caught on camera attacking an homeless man – after a boozy night on the tiles. Alan is pictured biting jobless Paul Mc Elfatricks ear, drawing blood, after Paul called him by his character's name in Jonathan Creek. Paul said, "I thought he was going to whisper something, but his face darkened and he almost spat the words 'My name's Alan. You know my name – Alan. what's my name? It's Alan...' Then he suddenly went for my left ear. It was incredibly painful. I shrieked and my eyes were watering. He hung on and drew blood. I still can't sleep on that side of my head nearly a week later." The incident was caught on CCTV and shows Alan lunging at Paul and biting his ear for 13 seconds before finally letting go after two women and a man intervene. What a moron.

Keisha's bitchy dig at Amelle
And the award for the most idiotic star of the day goes to… Stand up and take a bow Keisha Buchanan. The Sugababe sunk to new depths of idiocy when she admitted recently that fellow bandmate Amelle getting beaten up earlier this year was a good thing. “Things like that need to happen once in a while,” she said earnestly, “So things don’t get boring.” Hmmm, you do know Amelle is your band mate and not Ricky Hatton don’t you, Keisha?

Kate Thornton pregnant
She may have lost the most coveted job on TV when she was axed from The X Factor, but Kate Thornton now has something much more exciting to smile about – she’s expecting a baby. The 34-year-old, who’s engaged to DJ and producer Darren Emerson, was spotted going for a scan last week and it turns out that she’s four months pregnant. A friend of that star confirmed, “Kate and Darren are deliriously happy. She is due in early summer so she can fit in a lot of work before then.” What that has to do with the price of fish we're not entirely sure, but congratulations Kate.
