Leon claims: "I'm single!"
Now that we're over the MASSIVE SHOCK of Saturday night, cast your mind back a few weeks (difficult at this time on a Monday morning, we know). Leon Jackson, winner of X Factor, revealed (or at least the X Factor press office did) that he was dating the blonde one from Hope, aka Emily. In fact she dumped her boyfriend for him, they went on "romantic dates" together, she gave him a massive hug when he won on Saturday, yadda yadda ya. But now that Leon's won, he appears to be claiming he's single again. "I'm single and in a really good position of being focused at the moment. If I was in a relationship it would take a strain. Just now I need to focus on music." So, what, are they really over or is it just one of these "need to sell records to teenage girls so mustn't have a girlfriend" situations?

Rhydian's already got a record deal
Poor Rhydian. Robbed of the X Factor crown AND a virgin at 25... only joking, Rhyd! But thankfully, things appear to be looking up for the Welsh wonder less than 48hours after his defeat – he's set to sign a massive record deal with Simon Cowell's label SonyBMG this week. Rhydian's been in talks since Saturday with Si – and the deal would include at least one album, apparently. It comes after viewers claim that they couldn't get through to vote for Rhydian on Saturday, with thousands of people complaining that all they got was an engaged tone. However, an X Factor spokesperson said, "Both acts had the same number of lines available for fans to call."

Nooo! Gorgeous Gethin gets the boot
heatworld’s boyfriend (in our heads, at least) Gethin Jones and his partner Camilla Dallerup lost out on a place in the Strictly Come Dancing final last night. The handsome pair were pipped in the dance-off by EastEnders Matt Di Angelo and Flavia Cacace. The Blue Peter presenter was gracious in defeat, saying, “I’ve had an incredible adventure.” However, Danish professional dancer Camilla stormed off the set and refused to go to the after show party thrown in honour of finalists Alesha Dixon and Matt. A studio source said, “Camilla was livid. She really wanted to win. She threw a real tantrum. She was in tears and her make-up was a mess.”
 
Leona finally loses top spot
Katie Melua has topped the charts with a duet of What A Wonderful World with the late Eva Cassidy. The single, which is raising thousands for the British
Red Cross, knocked Leona Lewis off the top spot. Katie said, “The people of Britain have once again shown how generous they are when it comes to helping other people.” So what do you reckon, is it going to stay at No1 for Christmas or will it be Leon?
