Robbie’s on strike:
The moaniest man in pop is at it again – yep, Robbie Williams is today threatening to strike against the new owners of his record label and withhold his next album. The ex-Take Thatter is leading the protest of stars – including those other gloomy grumblers Coldplay – against EMI after the company admitted jobs might have to be cut. Robbie has an £80million deal *spits tea across desk* with EMI and was due to release his next album this September. However, his manager says this will not happen. “Should he deliver the new album? We have to say ‘No’”, he said. Like anyone’s waiting for it. heatworld admires Robbie’s stand on the job-losses, but also bets he’s getting off on having a new thing to moan about.

Britney heading for Number One
Her personal life might have gone to the dogs, but Britney Spears' career certainly hasn't. Depite hospital dashes, custody battles and all-round bonkersness, Britney's new single, Piece Of Me, is set to rocket to the top of the charts when it comes out on Monday (download sales place it at Number Two already.) American music bible Rolling Stone are putting Britney on the cover of next month's issue too – something they haven't done since she was 17. Looks like it's better to be talked about than not after all, eh, Brit?
 
Amy to take drugs test
Amy Winehouse has had some worrying news: she's got to take a drugs test if she wants to enter America to play at the Grammy Awards. The prestigous event will take place on 10 Febuary in LA – and Amy's nominated for SIX awards. But US officials have demanded that in order to get her visa, Wino must prove she is clean. A source says, "She's doing much better and has cut down her drug use but still isn't clean." heatworld would not recommend holding ones breath that the Winebox will pass the test – one might die of asphyxiation.

Amelle in trouble AGAIN!
Sugababes’ Amelle was questioned by police yesterday over alleged claims that she and her sister smashed up another woman’s car following an argument. The woman claims that the pair vandalised her motor in Aldershot, but Amelle denied the story, claiming that she was visiting her injured boyfriend Freddie Fuller in hospital at the time the alleged crime took place. It’s not been a good year for the singer – what with her boyfriend being attacked with a machete and now this. It appears that trouble just seems to follow this girl around, doesn’t it?
