Britney slapped with restraining order:
It emerged yesterday that Britney Spears was issued with a restraining order to keep her away from K-Fed, on the same day as the bizarre three-hour siege. The erratic starlet was ordered to stay 30m away from her “victim”, but K-Fed himself denies he had anything to do with it. We’re glad he said that, as we were really struggling with the image of the wannabe rapper as a cowering victim. Since the stand-off at her home, when Brit refused to hand over her kids to her ex, she has lost all her visitation rights and the police have issued a temporary order called an "emergency protective order”, which will last for five days. If Brit comes within 100 feet of Kevin she faces arrest. He needn’t worry, though, because Brit has clearly decided to go a lot further than 100 feet – the star and her “only friend”, paparazzi photographer Adnan Ghalib, were spotted arriving in New York today. Is it just us, or does Britney seem to be in denial about what is happening around her?
Kate Moss plans 34-hour party
Party fiend Kate Moss is determined to celebrate her 34th birthday in true Moss-style this week by getting her mates together for a 34-hour(!) bash. The party, which will allegedly have the theme ‘Who can keep up with Kate,’ is a step up from last year’s riot – where she partied for 24 hours. The do will begin with lunch at The Dorchester followed by a party at Mahiki and then a follow-on celebration at pal Davinia Taylor’s house. Phew! Just the thought of it is making us yawn. We were under the impression that your party stamina was supposed to lessen over the years. Kate must have ordered plenty of, erm, Redbull and strong coffee in preparation – how else will she manage to stay awake for all those hours…?
Marc and Cerys speak out (finally)
Ooh, we can't wait for Friday night, when we'll be able to watch Marc and Cerys' first joint TV interview on Al Murray's Happy Hour. We've had a bit of a sneak preview, and it's amazing stuff. "I fell in love with someone and that is that," says Marc. "I know I hurt someone back in England but what can you do? Life goes on and I hope she is alright." Cerys, perhaps a bit more wisely, keeps her mouth a bit more shut and says: "It's going well." Sarah Matravers: if we were you, we'd make sure we were nowehere near a TV on Friday night.
Samantha Mumba collapses
Here at heatworld we're rather excited about Dancing On Ice, which starts this Sunday (Gareth Gates in spandex? Yes please) so we were a bit worried to hear the news that Samantha Mumba, one of the favourites to win, has been struck down with a mystery illness. The singer collapsed at home with flu-like symptoms and dehydration, and was hooked up to a drip by doctors. It all sounds rather serious, but sources says Sam is determined to make it to the show on Sunday. Get well soon, Sam.
It's your morning news
