Britney’s suicide note
Troubled pop star Britney Spears wrote a suicide note saying, “Perhaps it would be better if I was dead.” The desperate letter was found by a friend just before the singer’s custody stand-off earlier this month. This latest development has strengthened feelings from friends and family that the star is in urgent need of help. Sources close to the 26-year-old say that she has suffered metal health problems “for years”, while American TV doctor Phil McGraw, who visited Britney during her latest hospital stay, echoed those sentiments, saying Brit is “in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention”. In her suicide note, Britney is said to talk of her loneliness and fear of not living up to expectations. She is also said to be terrified of losing her kids to Kevin Federline. The star was involved in yet another bizarre incident yesterday when, while shopping in LA, she spent 45 minutes in a changing room only to emerge naked. An employee said there were “weird” noises coming from the changing room were Britney was holed up with boyfriend Adnan Ghalib.

Jamie's restaurant uses battery eggs
Oh dear. After years of campaigning for better food and straight after his new TV show, Jamie's Fowl Dinners, (which is all about battery farming), it's been revealed that one of Jamie Oliver's restaurants, Fifteen Cornwall, has been serving eggs from battery chickens. "I am speechless," says Jamie. "We have cast-iron rules on what any chef can and cannot buy in all Fifteens. I've never been so disappointed. Heads will roll." Apparently, the battery eggs were used after the restaurant's normal supplier let them down. We can't help but think that this was bound to happen, but still – HOW embarassing.

Corrie stars forced to diet
Coronation Street stars are being warned about their weight, after tucking into one mince pie too many over Christmas. Stars who are being monitored closely are Jennie McAlpine (Fiz), Craig Charles (Lloyd) and Simon Gregson  (Steve McDonald). Bosses at the ITV soap have ordered the show’s caterers to stop serving fatty foods and give cast members healthy options. A show insider said, “If there’s an early morning shoot, a fry-up followed by a hearty lunch is a regular occurrence.” Hmm, maybe The Rovers will start serving Tofu burgers and protein shakes…

No! Diet Coke man being killed off
For the last ten years, women (and men) all over the country have spent advert breaks perving at Diet Coke blokes on the infamous adverts. But sadly, the days of ogling are over, as news reaches us that the Diet Coke man is to be scrapped. But don't worry! They're planning on replacing the hot, topless men with something more "subtle and glamorous". Er, is it just us, or does that sound like the worst idea EVER? Already, heatworld is imaging some awful group of twentysomething idiots, pretending to have fun, hanging out in their wood-stripped-floored flat. Yuk.
