Britney released from hospital *stunned silence*
We can’t believe that we’re writing this, but Britney Spears has been released from hospital. The star drove away from the UCLA Medical Centre amidst a swarming pack of paparazzi and two TV helicopters – scenes reminiscent of a Hollywood movie, not reality. Brit was supposed to be on her way to a different, more private, clinic after begging her father to let her transfer, but instead she drove her black Mercedes back to her home. The star had spent days pleading with her father Jamie to help her leave. “She was scared, hungry, and hated the fact that she could hear screams from other patients,” said a source close to the family. Jamie had earlier stated in court documents that his daughter was calling him every 20 minutes and saying, “You got to get me out of here.” Almost as soon as she left the hospital she slipped back into her old pattern of behaviour – driving through the streets and getting out of her car to wander through the ever-present hoard of paparazzi. We only hope that the plan to transfer the star to a private clinic is soon put into action – she still clearly needs a lot of help.

Amy’s bribe to stay off drugs
Amy Winehouse is set to pen and sing the new James Bond theme tune – but only if she stays off the drugs. The singer, currently in rehab, has been told that she must still be clean in April if she is to make the record. A source confirmed, "That's when the Bond people make a final decision on who sings the theme. If Amy is clean, then it's hers." But, in the mean time, while Amy battles her demons, reports suggest that she may be moving in with the Osbournes! Apparently Wino will stay in Ozzy and Sharon’s guest cottage in the grounds of their family mansion in Chalfont St Peter, Bucks – courtesy of her pal Kelly. A source revealed, "Kelly has always been there for Amy, they are very tight. When Amy went into rehab, it was Kelly who picked out clothes to take in from her East End flat."

Dancing On Ice crisis
It’s always been one of the more dangerous shows on TV, but now Dancing On Ice is facing a new crisis – and it’s nothing to do with skating-related injuries. Two of the male stars of the show, Gareth Gates and Greg Rusedski, have been struck down by a nasty tummy bug and it’s looking likely that neither of them will be well enough to perform in this weekend’s programme. A source said, “Gareth and Greg both became poorly yesterday and we’re all crossing our fingers they recover for Sunday.” The frantic show bosses have quickly altered the other star’s schedules in an attempt to stop the bug spreading. “We’re doing everything possible to keep the contestants apart so they can’t cross-infect, “ confirmed the source.

Brooklyn’s first crush!
