Cheryl flies home – and checks into a hotel
Cheryl Cole is choosing to go and party at the Brits over meeting with estranged husband Ashley for crisis talks. Girls Aloud are up for Best Group and pals say Cheryl is up for partying on after the show has finished. One said'; "Cheryl is in a great mood after her holiday. And she can't wait to meet up with the rest of the band and have some fun. This is the first time Girls Aloud have been nominated for a Brit and she wants to celebrate that – not think about all the doom and gloom back home. She is a different woman to the one who flew out a couple of weeks ago. She doesn't want to go to the Brits feeling miserable, which is how she'd feel if she went straight home to speak to Ashley. She wants to hold her head high and have a great night." When Cheryl jets in from LA instead of going to her home in Surrey she will check in to a West London hotel.

Amy’s Brits performance in the balance
Amy Winehouse missed a crucial rehearsal for her Brits performance after learning that her incarcerated husband Blake Fielder Civil is trading her signed pictures for hits of heroin. A Brits source revealed; "Amy was supposed to rehearse on Monday, but didn't show up after she discovered Blake had been trading pictures of her for drugs. It's a real shame she wasn't there for rehearsal. Everyone got really worried. She is part of a medley with Mark Ronson, Adele and Daniel Merriweather so it needs to run smoothly. It's not just her standing on the stage on her own and singing. It's sad Blake has sent her into  turmoil again just before her big night. She's been working so hard  to get her head together for this." But pals reckon that his most recent exploits have pushed Amy even closer to ditching Blake saying; "Amy has opened her eyes recently. She's grown closer to this other Blake, Blake Wood, and is trying to live a better life."

Liz pays maid £1.20 an hour
Liz Hurley’s a lady with a lot of cash in the bank… so it’s surprising that a former housemaid of hers is claiming that she was only paid £100 a week by the actress. Violet D’Souza also claims that she worked up to 70 hours per week, with babysitting, cleaning and cooking duties, and sought legal advice after being dismissed by Liz and her husband Arun Nayar. Her claims have since been dropped amidst rumours that she was given a five-figure settlement by the wealthy couple.

Dannii lays into Sharon
The two X Factor judges may be colleagues, but that hasn’t stopped Dannii Minogue finally coming forward with her true thoughts on Sharon Osbourne. The former pop star said; “I have had my ups and downs with her. While she was busy talking about why I shouldn’t be there and bad-mouthing me, I just got on with the job and kept silent.” Dannii went on to point out that two of her artists ended up getting to Number One and Two in the charts, adding “Only Simon Cowell has ever done that. So I thought I should go to Sharon and say, ‘Go suck on that!’ But I restrained myself.” My, we can’t imagine Sharon taking that lying down…
