Pete’s prison sentence halved:
Pete Doherty will be out of jail next Tuesday – after just 29 days behind bars. The junkie Babyshambles frontman was put inside for 14 weeks after defying orders to take drug tests during a suspended sentence for smack possession, but will be released early. Reports suggest he is already planning a massive bender to celebrate. A source revealed, "He's planning to go straight to play a gig – and then get smashed. He wants no business appointments for three days – so he can really go for it." But any hopes that Pete might come out of prison a reformed character may be unlikely, after reports emerged last month that he’d been shooting up in the detox unit of London's Wormwood scrubs. Ooh, he’s a class act that Pete. Doherty’s sentence has been been halved and then a further 18 days have been deducted as part of a scheme introduced last summer to ease jail over-crowding. On top of that, he gets another two days off because of time on custody.

Uma faces 'stalker’ in court
Hollywood actress Uma Thurman yesterday came face-to-face with her alleged stalker for the first time. The Kill Bill star told a court in New York that 37-year-old Jack Jordan had left her “freaked out” and “sick” with his harassment. The former psychiatric patient allegedly spent the night asleep in his car outside Uma’s home and sent her a letter which read, “If I see you out with another man, I’ll want to kill myself.” Jordan, who has been charged with stalking and aggravated harassment, has admitted that he believes his hands should be on the actress’ body “at all times”. He has denied the charges and the case continues. Yikes, creepy.

Janine coming back to EastEnders!
EastEnders evil character Janine is set to return to the Square. Janine, played by Charlie Brooks, will make her comeback after finding true love for the first time and bosses have revealed that the scheming girl, who married Barry for his money and then killed him, will finally find happiness. A show source said, "Janine has never properly been in love, that is part of why she is so wicked and bitter. The writers are planning a big romance. Having a proper man by her side changes her." Bosses have been trying to lure Charlie back for years, but to no avail. Executive Producer Diederick Santer said, "I couldn't be more pleased she's rejoining us." Charlie returned briefly for Frank Butcher's funeral and says she is "thrilled" to be coming back permanently, saying, "I'm excited to see what Janine will be up to."

Apprentice boys form unholy alliance
They spend most of their time on the show arguing and bitching about each other, but two of the Apprentice candidates have achieved the unimaginable and become friends. Kevin, who was sacked by Sir Alan in this week’s show, and Captain Enunciation himself Michael Sophocles have been out on the town trying to woo the ladies with their new found “fame”. Daffyd Kevin Shaw bragged to a group of girls that he liked having sex in his Porsche, with one girl claiming, “Kevin started boasting about his Porsche, I asked him if he’d had sex in it and he said he had.” The girl, who is 17 years old, then claimed she tried to kiss the Bank manager, but he stopped her. Kevin admitted later that he was flattered by the attention, but did not kiss the girl because he’s “loyal” to his girlfriend. Michael, who once worked as a male escort, was not so shy, however, and allegedly offered secrets of the show to one girl in exchange for a snog. “I was a bit annoyed after we finished kissing,” the girl says, “As he then said he couldn’t tell me anything.” What a cad! This naughty pair are behaving more like Big Brother contestants every day...
