Jordan's Olympic dream...
She’s basically conquered the worlds of reality TV and, erm, modelling, and now Jordan has decided she wants to conquer the world of equestrian sports. The busty star, who has been riding horses from a young age and even wrote some books about ponies for kids (remember them?), wants to eventually become good enough to compete in the Olympics. “Katie loves training and riding her horses but wants to take it a step further,” said a source close to the family. Pete is even buying a brand new “top quality” horse for his wife as a 30th birthday gift, and the mum-of-three is hoping it will help her to fulfil her dreams to become a top dressage star. “It’s her dream to compete in a dressage competition at the Olympics,” the source confirmed. Well, there’s nothing Jordan’s been unable to do yet, so you never know... We just hope she’s got a really good sports bra handy!
 
Jamie Spears wants MORE money
Just when we thought things were settling down in the turbulent life of Britney Spears, her dad has decided to claim for a loss of earnings – and he’s going to court to get the money off his daughter. Jamie Spears, who has been acting as Britney’s conservator since February, claims that he has lost £5,000 of earnings by looking after the troubled star. The chef says he was forced to give up working when Britney’s life fell apart, and had to care for her 24/7. Wow, that father/daughter bond is just so touching, isn’t it? Jamie has already been awarded £1,300 from an LA court for loss of earnings, so it looks likely that he will get the full amount he’s demanding. Official court documents stated, “As a result of the responsibilities Mr Spears has assumed as temporary conservator, he has been unable to continue his prior employment.” There can be no doubt that Britney’s life has improved immeasurably since her father began looking after her, but all this compensation malarky does leave a bad taste in your mouth, doesn’t it?

Gordon eats a thumb!
It’s not like Gordon Ramsay to bite off more than he can chew, but on the US edition of Hell’s Kitchen he ended up eating a contestant’s thumb! In what sounds like a scene from a dodgy horror film (or one of the nightmares heatworld has when we’ve eaten too much cheese), the man accidentally chopped off the tip of his thumb while preparing some pancetta. While he dashed off to get medical help, his fellow contestants fried the thumb tip with the meat and served it up – eww! Gordon tucked in anyway, saying “Oh God – finger pancetta. It tastes weird.” Gordon gets the, er, thumbs up from us for being such a good sport. 
 
Tragic death of surgeon to the stars
The husband of Hollywood actress Natascha McElhorne was found dead on the doorstep of the couple’s London home yesterday following a suspected heart attack – he was only 42. Martin Kelly, who worked as a successful plastic surgeon, was returning home after late night surgery when he collapsed at the front door. Natascha, who’s starred in films such as The Truman Show and Solaris, is currently pregnant with the couple’s third child. She is said to be “absolutely devastated”. The tragic news was broken to her in LA, where she is shooting the TV drama Californication, and she is now comforting her two young sons. Dr Kelly was famed for his charity work in rebuilding the faces of disfigured Third World children and he also repaired Tara Palmer-Tomkinson’s collapsed nose. The surgeon and actress were about to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary, and had known each other since they were teenagers. It’s a truly tragic story, and our hearts go out to Natascha and her family.
