Alex Rodriguez says he’s "in love" with Madonna;
Oh dear, things get worse for Madonna. Baseball star Alex Rodriguez, the married man Madge is alleged to have had an affair with, has apparently been telling friends he’s “in love” with her, saying she’s his “fucking soulmate” (how romantic) and boasting about texts she sent him. A friend told a US mag: “I was shocked. I thought he was kidding, but he wasn’t.” The news comes as pictures emerged last night of a usually immaculate Madonna looking strained and gaunt without her make-up on. To make matters worse, her brother Christopher Ciccone’s new book also claims that her career has always been more important than her marriage to Guy Ritchie. All in all, it’s not looking good, is it?
Amy gets even grosser
Amy Winehouse shocked prison visitors yesterday when she visited her Blakeincarcerated and simulated sex for all to see. Nice. The troubled singer yanked her top down and writhed against a glass booth at London's Pentonville prison where he's awaiting sentencing, later today. But it's not only her hubby's fellow lags, friends and family that were shocked by her behaviour – neighbours of the star want her to move house because of her constant partying and non-stop brawling. Amy, who just yesterday lashed out at her minder when he opened the door for her, is renting the £700,000 apartment in North London and only moved there four months ago – but already neighbours want her evicted. Following complaints they have been advised to make videos of her bad behaviour with one neighbour saying, "This place used to be a nice, quiet area until Amy moved in. She's nothing but trouble and every night she is partying. If she's not inviting friends around to live it up she is starting fights. A lot if us have complained to the council but we've been told we need evidence of any wrong doing." Lorks, she doesn’t exactly make life easy for herself does she…
Strictly judges get huge pay hike!
Strictly Come Dancing judges have bagged themselves a whopping 50 per cent pay rise – bumping their salaries from £60,000 to £90,000 a series. Craig Revel Horwood, Bruno Tonioli, Arlene Phillips and Len Goodman will return to our screens in September, but have been caught up in a pay battle with BBC bosses which only now has been resolved. The lengthy money talks at one point even saw the four judges threaten to quit but after a lengthy tussle bosses have agreed the sum. Before the agreement was reached Craig said, "As the show gets more popular and we're in a Saturday night ratings war, we need that to be reflected. We're not asking for a fortune – I know I'm not Simon Cowell." The agreement comes just weeks after the 13 professional dancers were also given a pay hike which will now see them earning £30,000 a series. A BBC source said, "Thank God it's all over – it was really uncomfortable for a while."
Bailiffs sent round to George’s house
Debt collectors were sent round to Britain’s Got Talent winner George Sampson’s house yesterday – over an unpaid £500 council tax bill that his older brother had racked up. The dancer’s mum Lesley had to call police as two men forced their way into their home, frightening her and George. The matter was soon sorted once the cops arrived and the bill was paid. Despite money worries, the family have refused to accept any money from George, who won £100K from the ITV show. “He offered to pay the bill, but Lesley wouldn’t hear of it and told him to save his money,” a friend said. “George keeps saying he wants to pay off their mortgage but Lesley says it’s his money and wants him to keep it in savings.”
Soz for the late posting of the Nine O' Clock news this morning – our tardiness is down to some numpty setting off the fire alarm and us having to evacuate the building. *Dabs sweat off top lip from running back up stairs.*
It's the news!
