Bob forgives Peaches – but hubby bans her from gig:
He was only told about their wedding minutes before it happened and was said to be "furious" with his daughter, but it seems Bob Geldof has found it in his heart to forgive Peaches and give her new marriage his full support. The former Boomtown Rat and charity campaigner was on holiday in Majorca when news of his daughter's wedding broke, and as soon as she returned from the US, Peaches flew out to clear the air with him. Along with her sister Pixie, Peaches and Bob were seen eating out together at a tapas restaurant near the family's villa on the Spanish island. Onlookers say the atmosphere seemed "tense" at first, but that after a while Bob and Peaches began "talking intensely" and he told her everything would be OK. Peaches allegedly looked relieved, and had a huge grin on her face. The TV "star" was also wearing her wedding ring throughout dinner. So, she's finally managed to get her dad on side, but it would appear that Peaches' new hubby Max is already cooling off. The 23-year-old drummer from band Chester French has reportedly refused to put his new wife's name on the guestlist for his band's London gig this weekend, because he doesn't want all the fuss. Friends of Max's say he is "embarrassed" about all the attention. "Max didn't really want her there," claims a pal. "He wants the UK tour to pass without too much attention on him and Peaches." Unfortunately for Max, his new missus has lots of connections in the music world, and has managed to secure her tickets another way. We can't help but feel a little cynical, as she knows full well the eyes of the press will all be on her at the gig...
Rachel Stevens and Teddy Sheringham to do Strictly
At the moment, Saturday nights are all about The X Factor, but soon there's going to be a tough choice to make, as Strictly Come Dancing returns to our screens. The hit BBC show will kick off on 13 September, and already there are rumours flooding in as to which celebs will be donning the sequins and lycra. Former model and S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens is said to have signed up to appear, hoping that it will give her somewhat flagging career the boost it needs. An insider revealed, "Rachel has met her dance partner. She is excited and can't wait to get stuck into training. Oh dear, our boyfriend had only just forgotten she existed... Another star who swapping his football boots for his dancing shoes is former Man Utd hero Teddy Sheringham. Sportsmen have done notoriously well on the ballroom show, and BBC bosses hope that Teddy will win over the audiences. We wonder if he'll have anything to say about his ex Danielle Lloyd...? Other celebs rumoured to be taking part include chef Gary Rhodes, Katie Price and Peter Andre, Melanie Sykes, M People singer Heather Small and model Jodie Kidd. As soon as we have the official line-up, you will be the first people we tell.
Lily wont say no to drugs
Lily Allen is never far away from the headlines and today is no exception... This time the singer has revealed that she doesn't know if she can give up drugs. Lily, who tried ecstasy aged just 14 (yikes) said, "I won't say I'm never going to do drugs again. I just know I'm not a good person on drugs." Lily even went on to say that she thinks her drink was spiked at a party in June when she had to be carried out by security and remembers nothing of the night. Lily added, "I can't believe I got into that state. It makes me believe somebody put something in my drink."
Oops – Dragons miss out mega deal
Oops! The Dragons won't be pleased when they realise they missed out on making a whole wad of cash. Remember the guy who created the Tangle Teezer – an invention to painlessly smooth knotted hair? Well, Shaun Pulfrey who invented it has landed a contract to supply 600 Boots stores with the £9.99 brush despite being given the brush off *geddit?* by the dragons on the BBc show. The deal will see Shaun's firm make profits of £200,000 and is set to turn over a massive £1.5 million when it's sold across the world. Shaun said, "The Dragons are very successful, but they are looking for ideas that fit their field. Mine obviously didn't. After 30 years as a hairdresser, I can read body language. I knew they hadn't got the product." And, just to rub salt into the wounds, if the Dragons had invested they could have banked more than £93,000 in two years...Oh dear.
