George Michael vows to beat drugs:
George Michael has promised to stay off drugs – after he was arrested in London on Friday for possession of crack cocaine and cannabis. The singer – who was arrested back in 2006 for possessing GHB and cannabis at the wheel of his car – was caught by police with the illegal substances in a public toilet in Hampstead Heath, north London. But George has vowed to try and combat his drug troubles, saying, “I want to apologise to my fans for screwing up again and to promise I’ll sort myself out.”
 
Jools Oliver pregnant
Celeb chef Jamie Oliver is to become a dad for the third time – after his wife Jools announced she was pregnant. Jamie and Jools already have two daughters, Poppy Honey, 6 and Daisy Boo, 5, but are looking forward to welcoming the latest addition to the Oliver household. A family friend says, “They realised something was up when they were on holiday recently. They don’t know if it is a boy or a girl yet. Jamie would love a boy as it’s only girls in the house now.” Jools has made no secret of the fact she wanted a third child, admitting earlier this year she would undergo IVF treatment if necessary. She said, “I would love more kids but number three is taking longer than I thought. If I have to go through the fertility drugs again, I will. Congratulations Jamie and Jools!

Kate Moss is single...but for how long?
Friends of iconic model Kate Moss are claiming that she has definitely broken up with her boyfriend of a year, Jamie Hince, after a series of rows about her non-stop partying lifestyle. The couple allegedly had a huge fight a week ago, but pals initially thought it was a temporary break-up and that the couple would work things out. However, it would appear that this time it's for good. Kate has even spent the weekend holed up at home, which is barely unheard of for the party-loving model. If we were Kate, though, we'd be feeling pretty apprehensive, because her ex Pete Doherty is apparently "desperate" to win her back now she's single again. A close friend of the Babyshambles singer said, "He [Pete] is desperate for her to give him another chance. He believes Kate is 'the one' and won't give up the idea of reuniting." Oo. Er. We can't think of a worse idea. PLEASE don't fall for it, Kate...

Phil and Flavia are first to get the boot
Nobody wants to be the first to be booted out but, unfortunately, someone has to go – and last night it was actor Phil Daniels who was shown the door off the dance floor. Phil and his Strictly Come Dancing partner Flavia failed to make an impression on either the judges or the public, with judge Craig Revel-Horwood even sniping that the actor's performance was "common". The couple were voted down to the bottom two along with former Rising Damp star Don Warrington and his partner Lilia Kopylova – but in the end, the deciding judge Len deemed Don's performance the best. We don't know about you, but we found Phil's pained expression the most difficult thing to swallow. The guy was obviously concentrating very hard, bless him, but that didn't make it any less off-putting. Phil was apparently "devastated" to be the first to go, but put on a brave face, saying, "It was a short ride, but it's been fantastic. Good fun." It also must be very disappointing for dancer Flavia, as she made it all the way to the final last year with Matt Di Angelo. Did you watch Strictly this weekend?
