Trinny splits with husband:
TV fashion expert Trinny Woodall has separated from her husband of nine years, it has been confirmed today. The 44-year-old friend to the stars has allegedly split from her 48-year-old businessman Johnny due to a string of arguments over her workload. The couple had attempted to fix their problems through marriage counselling, but after months of trying they have decided to call it quits. An official spokesperson said, "We can confirm that the couple have sadly decided to separate." Rumours that the marriage was in trouble have been abound since the summer, and Trinny arrived at a few fashion events without her wedding ring. A friend of the couple said sadly, "It's been very tearful and painful for them. They've always been enormously committed and tried hard to overcome differences. But ultimately they couldn't." The couple have vowed to remain close for the sake of their children. We can't help but feel a little sad...
 
Mel B in airport rage scare
Poor old Mel B was left shaken and in tears yesterday after her husband was involved in a brawl at Heathrow Airport. The singer had just arrived on a flight from LA with hubby Stephen and her 14-month-old baby Angel, when a passer-by recognised her and began being abusive. Mel and her family had not travelled with a minder, so Stephen immediately stepped in to stop the man from touching his wife and a scuffle broke out. An onlooker said, "It could have turned nasty. Her husband did nothing wrong and was just trying to protect his family." The mini-brawl did not go on for long, as ten armed police showed up on the scene to restrain the two men. The onlooker said that the abusive man was "going mad" and "swearing his head off" at the police. A shaken Mel and Stepehn were questioned by police but quickly released, while the other man was arrested for threatening behaviour. Poor Mel – not the nicest thing to happen the moment you arrive back in the UK...
 
Rhydian’s girlfriend gets, er, rid of him
Though any thoughts of last year’s X Factor may have been dominated lately by Leon Jackson and his Fabulous New Hair, let us not forget the real star of the 2007 series. Yes, X Factor fans, that’s Rhydian "The Riddler" Roberts, who wore a big furry coat, got the party started, lost in a TRAVESTY of a result, and then found love with Simon Cowell’s make-up artist. But while Rhyd’s career is now on the upturn (well the album’s out in a few weeks time at least), his love life is on the skids. Rhyd has split up with Julia Carter, the previously mentioned Cowell-troweller, because they kept on having huge fights and she accused him of cheating. OH WE’RE KIDDING. Of course it’s not that interesting – Rhyd’s a celeb now, which means he only ever splits up with people for one reason – the old classic "busy schedules". Thankfully, they’re also "still really good friends" and find time to "meet up regularly". Hmmm. How come our break-ups are never as friendly as celebs'?
 
Jessie throws a Strictly tantrum
Oh dear – news reaches us that after ex-‘Ender Jesse wallace came last on Saturday night's Strictly – scoring just 19 points out of a possible 40, people that like to quote things in the pub – she broke down in tears and insisted she didn’t want to film the results show. Insiders say that Jesse threw a bit of a paddy, and only returned on Sunday after a lot of persuading. Which, er, then saw her being booted off the show. "She was really disappointed with herself," says a show source. "When she didn't get the judges vote, she was so upset." Do you think the right person went?
