Madge and Guy: new details
We're all still reeling from the shock that Madge and Guy are actually divorcing, but this morning new information has emerged highlighting the real reasons behind the split. Sources close to the couple are claiming that while Madonna got fed up of Guy spending too much time at the pub and his refusal to support a second adoption, the film director has labelled his wife a "control freak" and says her fascination with Kabbalah was a waste of time because it's all just "hokem". Oh dear. We fear we may have to duck to avoid being hit by all the mud that's being slung around. In addition to these complaints, Guy is said to be "incandescent with rage" after he discovered Madonna's plans to paint him as the bad guy. The source revealed, "He [Guy] thinks she's trying to make him out to be the villain of the piece." Madonna, on the other hand, has apparently said she grew tired of Guy's complaints about her "jet-setting" lifestyle, and had refused to accompany her on tour because he was "afraid of flying". Friends of the couple now believe Madonna will move back to her apartment in New York – which she has secretly been doing up all year – and Guy will remain in the UK. It is alleged that Guy doesn't want a penny of Madge's rumoured £300million fortune, and that the couple's main concern is for the welfare of their children. We can only imagine that more and more claims and accounts will surface as the divorce goes on, but only Madge and Guy themselves know the real reasons behind the split. We're still feeling a bit sad about the whole thing, aren't you?
Will and Simon kiss and make up
Will Young and Simon Cowell look set to kiss and make up – when Will performs on The X Factor later this year. The duo infamously fell out after Simon branded Will's performance on the first Pop Idol contest as "distinctly average" and the row gathered pace when Simon later gave Gareth Gates a record deal. Will, who will perform a song from his new album, ironically titled Let It Go, also fell out with fellow judge Louis Walsh, who once said, "I just don't think he's a very clever person." But an industry source revealed, "Will doesn't like Simon and Louis. However, it was the kind of show that gave him his career, he's not about to turn his back on it." Ooh, we can't wait to see the sparks fly...
Jade opens men's beauty salon
You have to admire Jade Goody. If we were her, we'd probably be curled up in a ball of misery somewhere, but the Big Brother star is refusing to let her illness take over her life. Yesterday, just after completing her latest session of chemotherapy, Jade opened her second beauty salon – but this one is a little different. The brilliantly-named Homme Fatale, located close to another successful salon named Femme Fatale, will cater exclusively for men, and Jade thinks it will be a great success. Jade said yesterday, "I'm not putting my life on hold. I have my boys to think of and I need to invest for their future." We wish her all the best, and now we know where to send our boyfriend for that back, sack and crack...
Estelle wins big at the Mobos
Estelle was the biggest winner at the Mobo awards last night – scooping two awards for Best Song for American Boy and Best UK female. The singer was one of the few big names to turn up, with Leona Lewis who won Best Video and Album sending her apologies from LA, as well as the big male winner of the night Chris Brown not showing up. The host Mel B also caused a stir – after failing to read the autocue properly. She was rushed out to see an eye specialist before finally being able to host the event. Ooh, what a palaver.
