Gordon makes jokes about ‘affair’
He's kept his mouth uncharacteristically closed over the past week, but last night Gordon Ramsay finally spoke out about the allegations he's been having a seven-year affair with writer Sarah Symonds. Talking to the audience during a BBC cookery demonstration in Birmingham, Gordon joked, "What a week I've had. My mum is in here tonight so I'm on my best behaviour, ooh la la. Oh, f*** it. I didn't do it, mum, I love you." Throughout the evening, the chatty chef continued to make quips about his situation, even joking about a book Delia Smith had given him about cheating. "She [Delia] gave me a book on how to cheat. All I wanted to do was show her my recipes for spotted dick!" Gordon then went on to chuckle, "I have had a mattress arriving this week, everyone thought it was because I had to sleep in the basement. Mattress, mistress, mattress, what a load of bollocks!" Remaining amazingly upbeat considering the week he's had, Gordon admitted to viewers at the end of the show how he was feeling, saying, "I want to give you a big thank you for coming. It has been a tough week." It would appear that Gordon and Tana are determined not to let these 'affair' allegations effect their lives too much, and it must be a good sign that Gordon's able to joke about it already.
Britney’s X Factor demands
We are so excited about Britney’s appearance on The X Factor this Saturday… and we were even more excited when Britney’s list of ‘Diva Demands’ were made public this morning. Yes, she’s an international superstar, so we expect a bit of craziness, but it’s all rather disappointingly normal. Or as normal as can be expected for someone of Brit’s clout. No parade of small dogs/3000 scented candles/bowls of Starmix with all the orange sweeties removed, sadly. Just more, er, "practical" demands, and they’re maybe a little bit harsh. The finalists have been banned from watching Britney perform, and are banned from the backstage area when Brit’s around. Oooh! No autographs or photos are allowed, and Britney’s ordered three dressing rooms for the night – which doesn’t seem excessive, but Queen Of Crazy Demands Mariah Carey, who appeared on the show last month, only demanded two. Can you believe it? Oh, and there are 45 minders watching her every move, too. And Britney’s even refused to do a masterclass. Boo. But we still love you Brit!
Amy consults divorce lawyers
Uh oh. Things still aren’t all delightful and lovely in the world of Wino and Blakenottechnicallyincarcerated. After a massive bust-up over the phone this week between the two, which saw Blake accuse Amy’s dad Mitch of “obstructing” their relationship, Amy met with a divorce lawyer yesterday to discuss a potential separation from her husband. Amy’s been in hospital this week after suffering a seizure, which was alleged to be caused by the row, and has been kept in for tests – but Blake has continued to make “angry calls” to the singer despite her fragile state. Friends say Amy wants to end her marriage and had the lawyers visit her at her bedside. Crikey!
JLS Marvin is now OFFICIALLY single!
As the weeks have gone by on The X Factor, we've slowly become more and more fond of JLS. As well as arguably being the best group the show has ever had, they're also pretty nice to look at – and don't mind taking off their tops at regular intervals. Well, news has reached us this morning that one of the hottest members of JLS is now single, after splitting with his girlfriend of five years. Marvin Humes, who's 23, admitted he'd broken up with long-term love Jaime Jay last week, saying, "It's something that was on the cards for a while. It was a mutual thing. She's an amazing girl and we were very much in love with each other but it was time to move on." Awww, how sweet is Marvin? We can't imagine any of our exes talking about us so nicely. The JLS hunk isn't the only X Factor contestant to be going through a split, Alexandra also parted ways from her boyfriend last month so she could concentrate on the show.
