Britney's son suffered a "terrible allergic reaction"
We can all breath a sigh of relief, because Britney's little boy Jayden James is "doing fine" after he was rushed to hospital on Sunday afternoon. Britney's team posted this message on her website this morning, confirming the news: "Jayden James Federline was admitted to the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center on Sunday, November 9th. Doctors concluded he had a reaction to something he ingested. He is expected to be discharged tomorrow." The statement came as friends of the star explained that the toddler had suffered a "terrible allergic reaction", with one saying, "He had hives, was itchy and irritable." Doctors decided to keep the little cutie in overnight, and it's not yet known at this time what exactly caused the reaction. The friend goes on to say, "He's doing fine." Poor Britney, all this must have aged her ten years. We hope you feel better soon, Jayden.
Louis: "Laura would NEVER have won The X Factor"
As talk of Laura White's X Factor failure reaches parliament *slaps self round face*, defiant judge Louis Walsh has defended his decision to pick the 21-year-old to leave the show over rival singer Ruth Lorenzo. "She didn't get the public support and got three votes from the judges," Louis argued yesterday, before saying that he didn't think Laura would have won the competition even if she had stayed in the show. "No one in the bottom two ever wins The X Factor," said Louis, "That's just a fact. Laura was NEVER going to win." Louis has faced a barrage of criticism from fans since his deciding vote saw Laura booted off the show on Saturday, but he's urging viewers not to forget that Simon Cowell also chose the younger contestant to leave. He also pointed out, "Laura was in the bottom two – her performance was bad and her styling even worse." Ouch! Laura can at least take comfort in the fact that a whopping 10,000 people have signed a petition to get her reinstated, and even Lily Allen has expressed her disbelief at the decision, writing on her MySpace page, "Laura didn't deserve to go!" The big-voiced singer herself is putting on a brave face, saying, "The show has given me confidence. I'm proud of myself." Do you think Laura was unfairly given the boot, or did she really stand no chance of winning anyway?
Strictly John: "I'm being treated unfairly"
Strictly Come Dancing contestant John Sergeant has blasted the judges on the show, telling them, "Shut up or quit." John hasn't had an easy run on the show and the judges have been far from kind with their rude comments, but now political journalist John has hit back and claims his treatment is "unfair". John said, " I wish they would stop saying it is a travesty and unfair for me to still be in the show. If not, then they should resign. If they are so upset they should never have agreed the contract. Everyone knows that the public vote for half of it, so there's nothing I can do about it. But I'm still enjoying it very much." Just last week John received a measly 12 points out of a possible 40 from the judges, with Arlene saying, "John, you are outstanding at dancing really badly." And last night 14 viewers had complained to the BBC with dozens more on the website. Do you think John will be given an easier ride next week, or is that about as likely as Craig revel-Horwood cracking a smile?
