It's the news!

20,000 fans complain over John Sergeant:
Well, we'd never have guessed that Strictly would end up causing this amount of scandal when it first appeared on our screens, but unbelievably, the BBC have now received over 20,000 complaints over Sergeant-gate. Calls and messages on the BBC's website have flooded in in disgust at John leaving the show after Arlene Phillips branded him "a dancing pig" and a special website has been set up, bringbackjohn.co.uk, with 10,000 people signing the petition. Despite the BBC saying people who voted for John can have their money reimbursed, it looks like fans won't be happy till John returns to the show – which looks highly unlikely, especially now it's been revealed that John's wife of 40-years Mary hated "the fame game" and wasn't overly keen on John being on the show in the first place. Oh well. At least they can see him do his final dance with partner Kristina Rihanoff tomorrow – the show is expected to get a massive audience.

Most expensive hotel in the world attracts A-listers

It was the opening ceremony of all opening ceremonies last night at the Palm Resort in Dubai, with the opening of the most expensive hotel in the world. A host of A-listers rocked up for the event, which is said to have cost a whopping £40million – with Kylie coining a staggering £5million for a 45-minute set! Sorry, did someone say credit crunch? Lindsay Lohan and girlfriend Sam Ronson posed for pictures along with Lily Allen who wore £5million worth of Chopard jewellery. The whole resort has cost £1.5billion to create and is a floating palm tree island – but Lily Allen brought developers back down to earth with a bang, saying, "It's like a Posh Center Parcs".

Guy speaks about today's divorce
As heatworld reported yesterday, Madge and Guy's divorce will happen today in London – despite neither star being there – just five weeks after they announced their split. But more details have spilled about the divorce, with Guy saying last night, "It dragged on much too long and that had nothing to do with me. But it was never ever about money." Looks like he's not lying, either – Guy gets his Punchbowl Pub in London's Mayfair and his Wiltshire estate, plus a cash payment equivalent to their Marylebone town house. He could have claimed half of Madge's £300million fortune, but will be taking just a cut of that. However, sources close to Madge say she's furious over reports Guy won't take a penny. Oh dear – these two are never going to be friends, are they?

I'm A Celeb… contestants evacuated
The weather got so bad in the outback that I'm A Celeb… contestants were evacuated yesterday – eek! After torrential rain, 2-3cm of hailstones and 95km/h gales battered the camp, ITV were forced to step in and remove them as fears for their safety grew. The local Bureau of Meteorology have given severe weather warnings most days since they stepped into the jungle, but yesterday even locals were warned to seek shelter as 52mm of rain fell. But fear not, we're hearing that the gang have been put back in the camp... we're just wondering where they took shelter. Nice hotel, hot shower and a warm cup of tea, anyone?
