Britney X Factor controversy:
Reports are emerging this morning that Britney's much-hyped X Factor appearance became a bit of a circus, with the star making strange demands and refusing to interact with the contestants. Apparently, even the big boss man himself Simon Cowell was refused entry to her dressing room when he popped by to say hello, and he was eventually forced to wait in the corridor outside in order to get a photo. Britney's performance on Saturday secured record ratings for the ITV show, with 12.8 million people tuning in to see her in action – but now some viewers have been left disappointed by her miming and lack of enthusiasm about the remaining contestants. Talking about the situation backstage on Saturday, a source reveals, "You have never seen so many heavies. When the judges went to meet her [Britney], her security wouldn't let anyone past." Britney also allegedly admitted to Simon that she hadn't watched any of the contestants perform her songs, and as soon as she'd performed, the young star bid a hasty exit. What did YOU make of Britney's performance, and do you think this diva behaviour is to be expected, or should Brit be ashamed of herself?
Gordon Ramsay calls 'mistress' a "slapper"!
It was only a matter of time before Gordon Ramsay started to lose his temper over this whole alleged 'affair' business, and it would seem that yesterday the chef reached the end of his tether. Talking to the audience of a cookery show in Birmingham, Ramsay said bluntly, "Come on, if I was going to cheat, it wouldn't be with a complete slapper." Miaow! His comments came in the wake of yet another Sunday newspaper exposé, in which Sarah Symonds herself claimed to have had sex with the chef over seven times, even claiming that he once told her she was his "soulmate". Sarah spoke openly about the reported 'affair', claiming at on point that she had "saved" the chef's marriage to wife Tana. "My relationship with Gordon is probably the reason their 12-year marriage has lasted this long. A mistress keeps a marriage going," Sarah boasted. Among the "professional mistress'" claims, made during a newspaper interview, Sarah says she and Gordon met up "at least 18 times" over a seven-year period, and that they had regular phone sex. Gordon himself, as well as branding the ambitious writer a "slapper", has also made several jokes about his predicament. He said to the audience at yesterday's BBC Good Food Show that he'd been shagging Delia Smith, before adding, "I was watching TV last night and tuned into a new show called Gordon Ramsay's Bedroom Nightmares." This is all getting rather murky, isn't it. Still, we like that Gordon's able to make jokes.
Simon Cowell ‘freaked out’ over tracking-device stalker
Things have taken a bit of a sinister turn for Simon Cowell. While he’s keeping the peace between Dannii, Louis and Cheryl, and mentoring scarily big-haired Eoghan on The X Factor, someone’s been listening in to his conversations – and even planted a tracking device on his fancy £140,000 Bentley. Scary! The device was discovered when a biker, dressed in black and wearing a blacked-out helmet (not the woman in the Zovirax advert, presumably, because she looks quite friendly), kept turning up at private meetings unannounced. A source says, “Simon is completely freaked out by this. He can’t believe someone has gone to so much trouble and expense to monitor his every movement. It’s extremely sinister. His security team found this tracking device under the car. It was quite sophisticated and could have been used by security services. Simon has his suspicions as to who is responsible.” Wonder who on earth it could be?
Delia gets into trouble over turkeygate
Only 24 days to Christmas (yay!) and already there’s some doom hanging over the festive season thanks to Delia Smith – her turkey tips could KILL. Delia’s got into a bit of hot water (and not because Gordon Ramsay joked at the weekend he was having an affair with her) after telling cookery fans they could store their turkeys in a shed or car boot instead of the fridge. And the people at the Food Standards Agency aren’t too impressed. “This could be fatal,” they say, adding that food kept outside could mean “you might also be sharing your food with rats.” Ew. We’ll stick to the fridge, thank you very much.
