Kate Moss and Alexandra are NBFs!
We LOVE how Alexandra has gone straight to the A-list: the X Factor winner has been invited to join Kate Moss’ close circle of friends. Yay and yikes in equal measures. Talking about her new pal yesterday, Alexandra said, "I saw Kate in the audience a couple of weeks ago and waved to her. I met her properly last week and we hit it off." Kate and her daughter Lila Grace were regulars in the audience at this year's X Factor, but it seems Alexandra was the only contestant the model took a special liking to. Alexandra went on to confess, "I am going to her party on Friday. She promised me I could have anything I wanted from her wardrobe. I can't wait." Wow. Alexandra isn't worried about Kate's reputation as a bit of a wild child, saying sensibly, "She won't be leading me astray. She is a good person and we talked for ages." In other Alexandra news, the young winner has said she wants mentor Cheryl Cole to continue to have a part in her career, even though she's signed to Simon Cowell's label. Also, rather endearingly, Alexandra has confessed she had no idea that her hit song Hallelujah was about sex, saying, "I didn't know it was about sexual positions. I see it as a love song!"

Even Corrie’s hit by credit crunch!
The cast of Coronation Street are said to be up in arms today, over a decision to take away their butty van! The actors and actresses on the hit ITV soap have always been provided with free tea, coffee and an array of hot food from an on-set van, but due to the credit crunch cutbacks, they've now been told to queue up at the studio canteen and pay for their grub like everyone else. A source from the soap revealed, "The whole cast are up in arms – they're absolutely furious." The removal of the van has caused such a fuss that insiders now suspect the cast could even cause a disruption to filming, by taking long breaks to fetch dinner from the canteen. "Filming on Corrie isn't easy," the source continues, "It's long hours and the actors spend a lot of time outdoors. They have always considered the butty wagon was part of their employment package." Oh dear... Still, there's nothing wrong with a thermos and a packed lunch, is there? Perhaps all this explains why the cast of Corrie always look so grumpy on screen. But if that's the case, then what's the EastEnders' lot's excuse?

Lily: "My show was rubbish"
Lily Allen has admitted she should stick to what she does best – because her foray into the world of TV was a bit rubbish. Lils, who had her own BBC3 show, Lily Allen And Friends earlier this year, doesn’t exactly rate her small screen skills, but has made some cheeky remarks about the BBC licence fee making her a very rich lady indeed. She says, “[I’d give it] probably five out of 10. It was a period when I decided not to be a singer or go on tour. I made a lot of money out of it. Thank you, licence payer – that was very nice of you. You think Russell Brand is your problem. Actually, it’s me.” Despite her erm, grateful words, Lily’s show will return for a second series. Expecting the complaints/licence fee boycotts to come flooding in right about now…
 
Jonathan Ross "crushed" by BBC clampdown
Uh-oh. After the hoo-ha of Manuelgate, Jonathan Ross has been issued with a long list of dos and don’ts from the BBC – which many fear could seriously affect his career as a TV and radio host. Jonathan was suspended from the BBC after his on-air prank with Russell Brand, but is taking part in ‘crisis talks’ to pave the way for his return. Jonathan will be banned from “unnecessary swearing” and “sexually suggestive remarks”. A BBC insider says, “Everything he does will be scrutinised to the nth degree. These new rules could seriously crush his normally outrageous views as he’ll be extra careful what he says. Many fear it could turn him into a shadow of his former self.” Jonathan’s back on 23 January… so we’ll just have to wait and see how he copes with the new rules.
