Emergency op for Jade:
As we edge ever closer to the new series of Celebrity Big Brother (12 hours to go! Screeeam!), one of the show's former contestants is facing a far worse ordeal. Jade Goody, who is battling cancer, is heading into hospital today for an emergency op on her kidney, after it became blocked over the festive period. Jade, who has also been suffering from a nasty bout of flu over the past few weeks, is said to be devastated that she's been forced to cut short her stint as the Wicked Witch in panto. Jade's kidney probem was diagnosed on Wednesday, and it is thought to have occurred as a result of the chemotherapy she is currently going through. A friend of Jade's said, "It needed to be done straight away. Because she is so prone to infection, every op becomes more serious. Jade is being brave, but it's a worrying time." The BB star will enter hospital in London today and if everything goes smoothly she should be home within a few days. We've got our fingers crossed for you, Jade.

OMG! Celebrity Big Brother's rumoured line-up 
Can you believe it's only a mere 12 hours until Celebrity Big Brother starts?! We've barely packed away our Christmas stocking and already we've got a stonking great new series to look forward to – amazing! Now, as usual no official word has yet been issued from the Celeb BB HQ, but there are plenty of exciting final-list rumours doing the rounds, and we wouldn't be heatworld if we didn't share them with you. According to insiders, the "celebs" entering the famous house tonight will include...deep breath... TV "star" and famous ex of Sven Goran Eriksson Ulrika Jonsson, former Liberty X singer and fan of lycra Michelle Heaton, model Lucy Pinder, Shameless actress Tina Malone, former Sugababe and tattoo fan Mutya Buena, Jackson sister La Toya, TV presenter and radio DJ Terry Christian, ex-boyband member Ben Adams, Mini-Me actor Verne Troyer, 80s singer Steve Strange, politician Tommy Sheridan and rapper Coolio. Phew... Oh, and East 17 singer and former heartthrob Tony Mortimer is rumoured to be on standby, in case any of the main celebs get cold feet. We're VERY excited, because we know whoever goes in there it's going to be unmissable TV. As soon as we have the official line-up, we'll let you know all the names, but for now, why not tell us what you think of this little lot?

Britney's brother gets hitched
His famous sister may not have been very lucky in love, but that hasn't stopped Bryan Spears from going ahead and tying the knot – and he's picked someone very close to the family. Bryan wed longtime friend and recent lover Graciella Sanchez, who also just happens to be Jamie Lynn Spears' manager(!), in New Orleans on New Year's Eve – and the whole Spears' clan was there to witness the ceremony. Britney herself was there with her two sons, and they joined mum Lynne, dad Jamie and Jamie Lynn with her fiance Casey Aldridge. A source revealed this morning, "It was beautiful. It was only close family, very small and intimate." Well, at least one member of the Spears family has managed to get married the traditional way. Congratulations guys!

Simon eyes up another house
What do you do if you have so much wonger you don't know what to do with it? Well, if you're Simon Cowell you splash out on a luxury mansion in Barbados – and you make sure your every need is catered for... The music mogul is reportedly building a £10million bachelor pad on the sunny island, complete with six bedrooms featuring mirrored walls. Hee hee. We can just imagine Simon standing in the middle of his huge plush bedroom, admiring himself from every angle with that smirk on his face. In addition to the, ahem, adorned bedrooms, the 10-acre property will also feature a huge swimming pool and a heli-pad. Sounds nice... One friend confessed, "No expense will be spared. It will have all the latest gizmos and toys. Simon thinks the mirrored panels will be hilarious – he can't wait to show them off." Simon, who already owns a £5million home in Barbados (greedy, much?!), is said to be taking the project very seriously, and will be overseeing the building personally. The friend goes on to explain, "It's a luxury he can afford and he's sure everyone will love the finished product." Grrr, some people have all the luck.
