Take That’s "guilt" over Robbie’s meltdown
Robbie William’s departure from Take That in 1995 was the single most upsetting incident of our childhood (bar them splitting up – yes, we did call the helpline…) – and now Gary, Mark, Jason and Howard have spoken out about their guilt over Robbie’s meltdown when he left the band. Gary regrets “missing the signs” Rob was in trouble. Howard says, “I spoke to Rob about it last summer. I said I was sorry I never took the time to notice he was drinking a bottle of vodka a day.” Mark adds, “Sometimes we’d joke and say we wanted to be in Oasis. But he actually did want to be in Oasis. I feel a bit guilty now that I wasn’t mature enough to hear his cries.” But despite their guilt, the boys confirmed a full-scale Take-That-as-a-fivesome reunion was definitely on the cards, in some way, shape or form. Jason says, “Lets get him back as quickly as possible.” Yay!
TomKat want to move here!
We love the fact that the American A-listers are so enthralled with our capital city – until recently we've had Madge living amongst us as well as Gwyneth Paltrow – but now it seems the almighty TomKat may be joining us too. Speaking at the West End premiere of his new movie Valkyrie, Tom Cruise said, "It would be a fantastic move. Katie was absolutely brilliant on Broadway and to work in the West End would be a joy. It is something to consider for both of us. I think we'd love it here, even if it is so, so cold!" Famed for his mammoth meet and greet walkabouts on the red carpet, Tom didn't disappoint last night and the only hiccup was when one protestor had to be forcibly removed after holding up a "Scientology is Evil" poster in reference to Tom's religious beliefs.
Ant and Dec face a pay cut
It’s not just us non-celebs whose lives are being transformed by the evil that is the Credit Crunch – Ant and Dec have become the latest casualty of the recession. Well, not quite. They may be forced to take a pay cut when their contract with ITV is up for renewal, after channel bosses warned they won’t see a pay cheque as much as the £20million deal they signed back in 2007. But it’s thought that the pair don’t mind too much about their salary reduction. An ITV source says, “Ant and Dec are not stuck up about cash – they realise there is a credit crunch.” Nice to know the boys are just like the rest of us, eh?
Kate Garraway didn't realise she was pregnant
We'd like to think we'd know about it if we were pregnant, but maybe when you lead the busy life of a celebrity, these things just pass you by. Kate Garraway has announced she's expecting her second child – but only after an eagle-eyed viewer got in touch with GMTV. A friend of the TV presenter said, "A fan e-mailed in and said, 'I'm sure Kate is pregnant.' So Kate took a test and was delighted to find out that she was expecting." An over-the-moon Kate is said to be three months pregnant. She and her husband Derek already have a daughter Darcey, who will be three in March. Congratulations, guys!
TT really want Robbie back
