Housemates save Ben from eviction:
OMG! How amazing was last night's Celebrity Big Brother? If for some crazy reason you managed to miss the show last night, we can now bring you up to date and tell you which two housemates are up for the chop this Friday. Last night, Head of House Terry Christian made his final decision about who to put up for eviction, having earlier nominated Ulrika and Lucy. He decided that A1 crooner Ben Adams had the least integrity of the group, and both Ben, Lucy and Ulrika were told the bad news live on air by Davina. Ulrika's face uopn hearing she had the biggest ego was priceless – and Lucy didn't look too thrilled to be labelled "least talented". Hee hee. Anyway, after the housemates were informed about what had been going on, they were all given the chance to vote for who they wanted to save from eviction, with Ben being the eventual winner. We were actually quite surprised that Michelle chose to save Ben, especially after all that blubbing she did over Coolio's gentle teasing... Ben really must be as sweet as he seems on the show. Lucy and Ulrika only managed to win one vote each from their fellow housemates, with Tina picking her new BFF Ulrika and Mutya stepping up to defend pal Lucy. Sadly it wasn't enough, and now the two girls will go head-to-head this Friday. We know who we would prefer to see leave, but we want to know what you think? Who should get the boot this Friday, and do you think the housemates made the right decision in saving Ben?
Amy's man denies romance
When we saw those pictures of Amy Winehouse cuddling up to a seriously hunky man on the beach yesterday [link], we actually felt happy for the troubled singer for the first time in what felt like years – but now our bubble has been cruelly burst. The serious hunk in question, former rugby ace Josh Bowman, last night laughed off the rumours that he and Amy were anything more than close friends. Talking to a close friend he said, "She's sweet – but just not my kind of girl." Boooo! The friend went on to explain, "He [Josh] thinks she's cool, but that's as far as it goes." Maybe he's just being shy about the whole thing, now that the snuggly photos have been seen by everyone, or perhaps they are just mates. We don't know, but we're still relieved to see Amy looking so much happier and healthier.
Jonathan Ross returns to TV
With Manuelgate finallyish behind him, Jonathan Ross will be back on our screens on 23 January. The chat-show host was suspended after his antics with Russell Brand – where they left obscene messages on actor Andrew Sachs' voicemail – but will return to a television near you with his show Friday Night With Jonathan Ross at the end of the month. As well as his TV show, Jonathan will also be returning to his regular show on Radio 2 every Saturday and his Film 2009 show will be back on Monday 29 January. He told friends on his Twitter website, "Will let you know who is doing music on the show and guests nearer the date. Don't want to jinx things. 1st show already looking GREAT!" Are you excited about the prospect of having Rossy back?
Patrick speaks out on cancer battle
Patrick Swayze has spoken about his battle with cancer, saying, "You bet that I'm going through hell." The actor has hit back at reports suggesting he is on his last legs, adding, "You know, there's a lot of fear here. There's a lot of stuff going on. Yeah, I'm scared, yeah I'm angry, yeah I'm, like, 'Why me?'" When asked if he was scared of dying, the actor took a long pause before replying, "I don't know... I don't know what's on the other side. I like to believe that I've got a lot of guardian warriors on my shoulder, including my dad, saying, 'You just let Swayze-dog know it's been his turn all his time. You just let us do the work and we'll finish it for him. So I'm just trying to shut up and let my angels speak to me and tell me what I'm supposed to do." Speaking about his dramatic weight loss he added, "I dropped about 20lb's in the blink of an eye."
