It's the news!
Christening cancelled for Jade:
More sad news for Jade Goody. The planned christening for her sons Freddy and Bobby has been cancelled because Jade is "too ill" to attend. Jade’s condition has worsened after undergoing an emergency operation on her bowel earlier this week, and she is heavily sedated. Her spokesperson Max Clifford says, “If people go and see her it’s literally a case of her opening her eyes, saying ‘Hi, how are you?’ and going back to sleep again. It’s a result of the medication she’s on. So, of course, in those circumstances, the christening can’t go ahead.” But the christening could still go ahead if Jade feels up to it. “If she starts to feel better the christening can be organised at short notice,” adds Max. “We’re hoping for the best.”
Chris Brown charged with assault
Chris Brown appeared in an LA court over the alleged attack on girlfriend Rihanna – and was charged with assault and making criminal threats. Chris didn’t enter a plea of guilty or not guilty however, this has been delayed until 6 April. Shocking details did emerge though of what happened on the night of the attack. A police report claims the pair got into a fight in his car after Rihanna found a text from another woman on Chris’ mobile. He then apparently pushed her head against the car window, punched and bit her. The report also alleges that he attempted to choke Rihanna, with her nearly losing consciousness and her mouth filling with blood as she tried to fight back. Rihanna herself did not attend the court hearing, and it’s still not sure whether she will testify against him following rumours that they are back together. If convicted, Chris could face up to four years and eight months in prison.
Ashley breaks Cheryl’s "no clubbing" pact
Uh-oh. Ashley Cole is in for a right old ear-bashing when Cheryl comes back from climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. Yesterday he was arrested for being drunk and disorderly, and it seems Chez ain’t too pleased with her husband – as he’s broken a “no clubbing” pact the pair had agreed on. “Ashley agreed not to go out boozing with his teammates, who Cheryl thinks are a bad influence on him,” says a friend of the couple. “That deal had been in tact ever since – up until Wednesday night. Cheryl even reminded him of it before going away to Africa. She will be privately very upset that something has blown up again as a result of him going out – especially when she is away.”
