Jack begs dying Jade to forgive him:
Jack Tweed has revealed how he has begged Jade to forgive him for his past criminal behaviour. After appearing in court on a second assault conviction on Tuesday, Jack rushed to be at his dying wife’s bedside after she had “suffered a turn” following an op to alleviate pain from her bowel. Jack said: “I was given permission to spend the night with Jade. I’m so happy – I just wish I could be there all the time. I told her I’m so sorry for my behaviour in the past. It’s meant I haven’t been there for her the whole time. I told her I’ve let everyone down, but have learned my lesson. And I said I’m worried that, once again, I won’t be there for her and the family when they really need me. I just want to be with her as much as I can.” Meanwhile, Jade was said to be “heavily sedated” in hospital last night. Her spokesman Max Clifford revealed: “I spoke to Jade this morning and she was very, very groggy. We are just hoping her sleepiness was just down to the drugs she was given for pain.”
Walliams splits from teenage girlfriend
No sooner had his whirlwind romance with a girl young enough to be his daughter began, than it's over. Yes, David Walliams has split from his 18-year-old girlfriend Lauren Budd after three months together. Last week, Lauren revealed the pair had a rather chaste relationship, had only kissed and hadn’t indulged in any rude behaviour, as they booked separate hotel rooms on their jaunts to Barbados, Miami, and most recently, New York. The latter city was the scene of their break-up last week, but it’s all been amicable, with a pal confirming, “They want to remain friends.” Oh good, he can still help her with her homework then.
Fearne collapses on Kilimanjaro
Yesterday we brought you the news Fearne Cotton had been suffering some nasty nosebleeds on her trek up Kilimanjaro with her celeb mates in tow, but last night she collapsed and required urgent medical treatment from medical staff. Denise Van Outen is reported to have "heard Fearne’s cries for help" and alerted the group to her aid. As the stars climb higher up the mountain (they’re now at 6,000m about sea level), they have all been suffering from nosebleeds and nausea. Scary stuff.
Radio 1 to axe “older” DJs?
Eek – this doesn’t look good for Chris Moyles and Jo Whiley this morning. Bosses at Radio 1 believe that some of their DJs are getting too old for their listeners and are planning to search for some new younger stars. The station aims to pull in listeners between the ages of 15 and 24, but popular DJs such as Chris and Jo are in their thirties and forties respectively – and their production teams are in the same age category too. A source said: “The breakfast show has to target our key listeners and lock them in for the day. Moyles has been on Radio 1 for 12 years and has hosted the breakfast show for five. What we have seen with Moyles is his listeners have grown up with him and are getting older. Now we need a younger crowd.” Do YOU think the Radio 1 bunch are past it or are there a few more years in the old dogs yet?
