Jack close to "cracking up" claim pals
Jack Tweed's close friends and family have spoken out today about their concern for the 21 year old, and say they fear he will "crack up" if told he has to return to jail. Jack is due back in court today to hear sentencing on an assault charge – which was delayed at the end of last month in order to allow him time to attend Jade's funeral. Although he has be warned by his lawyer to expect a jail term, Jack's pals say he can't bear the thought of not being able to visit his late wife's grave. "Jack is walking around in a daze," says one friend. "He hasn't slept properly for months. He has visited Jade's grave every day and it breaks his heart he won't be able to if sent down again." Jack has also planned to tell Jade's sons Bobby and Freddie that he's going to Africa to help animals, rather than admit to them that he's headed to prison. The boys are big fans of the cartoon feature Madagascar, so Jack is going to tell them that's where he's going. The friend continued, "He is beside himself that he won't get to see the boys. They have become really close." We will bring you any news of Jack's sentencing as it arrives later today.

Mel set to have the most expensive divorce in history

It’s always sad when a marriage breaks down, but for Mel Gibson, the end of his 28-year marriage to his wife Robyn could signal the most expensive divorce in history – as she could be entitled to half of his £640 million fortune. Eek. Mel was photographed frolicking on a beach last week with a mystery lady who he had been linked to in August 2008, although a spokesperson for the star claims reports of infidelity are “100 per cent untrue.” Even so, Mel’s wife Robyn has filed for divorce on Friday, citing “irreconcilable differences”. Mel’s spokesperson yesterday confirmed the split.

Amy writes song inspired by Blake's "betrayal"

As if Amy Winehouse didn’t have enough material from her um, colourful life so far to write songs about, another bit of inspiration has come into being – namely, the news at the weekend her estranged hubby Blaakkke romped with another lady at a rehab facility and got her pregnant. After she heard the news, Amy penned song The Ultimate Betrayal and headed to a studio in St Lucia to lay down the track. A source says, “Amy still felt they had something between them and that one day they’d be together again. But this news destroyed her. She sat down with her guitar and started writing The Ultimate Betrayal. She keeps repeating the line: "Blake a baby, no no no." It’s very haunting.” Poor Amy.

Marco tips Grant to win Hell's Kitchen
They were thrown in at the deep end last night after being told to cook for 60 guests, and some of the celebs on Hell's Kitchen did a lot better than the others. Poor old Ade Edmondson – who burned his hand and was subsequently burned by the wrath of Marco Pierre White – and Dynasty's Linda Evans were named the worst chefs of the night, and from tonight they will be banished from the kitchen and made to serve customers instead. The star of the night was no doubt Grant Bovey, who received a glowing report from Marco at the end of service, but his missus Anthea wasn't quite so impressive – she was told she was "average". We're loving the shouty scariness of Marco. Did you see the show last night? Who are your favourites so far?
