Apprentice Ben: "I was a knob"
The latest Apprentice reject Ben Clarke last night admitted he was probably "too immature" to get the job with Sir Alan. Even we felt a little bit sorry for the poor boy when it came to his firing – he just sat there shaking his head and fighting back the tears. However, Ben himself admits to going into the competition with "all guns blazing" and agrees that his "blinkered" approach to the show may have been his downfall. Watching himself back on The Apprentice: You're Fired, Ben put his head in his hands with embarrassment when all the (5,863 or so) mentions of that Sandhurst scholarship were repeated, admitting afterwards that he'd behaved like a "knob". Bless! Do you think Ben was the right person to go?
Pete spends night with manager
Peter Andre was forced to spend the night with his manager yesterday, after Katie Price made it very clear he was no longer welcome at their Surrey home. Friends are claiming that Katie even requested that the alarm code be changed, preventing Pete from gaining access. Pete has yet to comment publicly on the break-up, but his friends are saying the only thing he cares about is seeing the kids, and that he wants to keep things as "calm" as possible for their sake. Katie Price is expected back in the UK later today.
Jack Tweed plans big TV career
Jack Tweed is preparing to embark on a career in TV when he leaves prison next week. The 21-year-old is said to be keen to look into TV presenting jobs, and hopes his high profile will help him secure a role. One friend explained, "He's had a horrendous time recently so is desperate to get his life back on track. He's considering anything that honours Jade's memory." Jack is also said to be keen on pursuing a career as a DJ. Last night Jack's spokesman confirmed, "We are talking to producers. Nothing's been signed off yet, but there are some good ideas being discussed." Do you think Jack would make a good TV presenter?
Jacko halts tour amid health concerns
Thousands of Michael Jackson fans will be waking up to bad news today, as the pop superstar has decided to push his summer tour dates into March next year. Jacko needs an operation to prevent the spread of disease on his skin, and in order to recover properly, it's thought he will not be able to attend further rehearsals. Official organisers, however, are claiming he simply needs more time to perfect what he has planned, saying, "The date change has nothing to do with his health. The truth is the show has grown in scope and complexity and size."
