Britain’s Got Talent "liar" exposed
More hoo-ha over at Britain’s Got Talent, and no, this time it’s not Su-Bo dying her hair or putting on a new jacket. This time it’s the turn of singer Jamie Pugh to hit the headlines – because he told a few untruths on Saturday night’s show. Pizza delivery man Jamie sang a tune from Les Miserables (isn’t it mighty popular this year?) for Simon and co, but claimed he’d never sung in front of a large audience before. Eagle-eyed fans of musical theatre, however, recognised Jamie from a showcase on the West End in 2006, where he performed Rod Stewart songs with six others. But Jamie insists he didn’t lie to the judges, saying, “I have previously performed as part of a group, but I never sang alone. It didn’t go that well.”

Dannii to quit The X Factor?
With just a few months to go before this year’s singing wannabes hit the small screen on The X Factor, the rumours about the judging panel line-up continues. Will Dannii Minogue return as a judge? Who knows, if reports are to be believed. Despite the early auditions being in full swing, Dannii hasn’t signed her contract. A source says, “It was tough for Dannii last year and she got a lot of negative press. A person can only take so much before asking, ‘Is it really worth it?’. Dannii felt bullied by Sharon [Osbourne] during her first series and that was tough, so she was looking forward to Cheryl joining the team last year. But that became a nightmare too when the rumour mill went into overdrive with stories about the two of them competing for Simon Cowell’s attention. Simon is being patient, but she can’t leave it too much longer.”

Madonna marriage split to harm adoption?

Madonna is up in arms over fears her adoption of another Malawian child will be blocked – because she is a single mother. Madge’s plans to adopt three-year-old Mercy James earlier this year was turned down, but Madonna appealed the decision in the hope of adopting the child. However, Madge will mount a campaign to change the law if her adoption is turned down over her split from estranged hubby Guy Ritchie. A source says, “If she fails on the grounds of her divorce she will be absolutely livid. She is already talking about starting a campaign for single mums to be allowed to adopt all over the world.”

Apprentice Ben in trouble over Sandhurst boast
Officials from top military academy Sandhurst have spoken out to criticise mouthy Apprentice candidate Ben Clarke, after the wannabe boasted on the show that he'd won a scholarship to train there. Ben has talked, at length, about winning a coveted place at the facility, but it may have now backfired on him. "Ben Clarke has let us down," said one army chief. "If he doesn't join, he has denied the opportunity of a good education to someone else who could have been a credit to the army." Ben agreed to serve three years in the army upon completion of his training at Sandhurst, but then opted to defer his place for two years and now he's on The Apprentice. Hmm, it doesn't sound too good, does it? We wonder what Sir Alan will say...

Is he a big fibber?
