Lindsay quizzed over gem theft:
Lindsay Lohan is due to be questioned by police, after a valuable earrings and necklace set were reported missing from a photo shoot she took part in during her recent visit to London. The diamond set, which were specially designed by Dior and thought to be worth in the region of £250,000, vanished from an Elle shoot on 8 June. Lindsay, as well as other people who were there on the day, are being questioned by police this week. A Met police spokesman confirmed, "Inquiries are continuing. There have been no arrests at this stage." Li-Lo is currently back home in LA and presumably back in the arms of her on/off lover Samantha Ronson. Since her recent visit to the UK, Lindsay has changed her relationship status on Facebook from "single" to "it's complicated".
Pete's fury over Katie's "boozy" party
Insiders from the Peter and Katie camp have alleged that the couple had a huge row this weekend over Katie decision to throw a huge party for Junior's fourth birthday. Pete is said to be furious that Katie turned the event into "an all-day drinking session", but she claims he is just launching a smear campaign against her. Over in China while the celebrations were taking place, Pete made a call to Katie's home to speak to the birthday boy, only to discover the place was full of Katie's mates having a party. Pete is planning on taking the kids for a short holiday today, and his official spokesman insists his only concern is the welfare of the children.
New twist for The X Factor
The X Factor will get a shake-up this year, in the shape of a new audition process for the hopeful singers. Rather than simply performing for judges Simon, Louis, Dannii and Cheryl at the Boot Camp stage, the hopefuls will now be required to sing in front of a live audience. The process of auditioning this way works so well on Britain's Got Talent that Simon Cowell was eager to try it out on The X Factor. The new scheme will kick off in London in just four days time, but show insiders were quick to add that whilst the audience reaction will have some effect, the overall decision of who makes it through will still rest with the judges. Are you excited about The X Factor starting again?
Paris: "Ronaldo is incredible"
Paris Hilton has spoken for the first time about her fondness for Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo, admitting just last night that she thinks he's "incredible". An uncharacteristically coy Paris admitted shyly, "He's a very nice guy – and an incredible athlete. We're getting to know each other, but I have to leave it at that." Friends of the heiress say she's been texting the footie star "almost constantly" since she last saw him, but all the heiress will admit is that "We're friends. Very good friends". Paris denied making a deliberate play for the Ronaldo, however, saying, "That never happened." Do you think these two would make a good couple?
