Cowell calls in police over Leona leak:
Simon Cowell has called in police after Leona Lewis’s hotly tipped new single was leaked. Computers at his record company Syco were recently hacked and Leona’s collaboration with Justin Timberlake, Don’t Let Me Down, has now appeared on the internet. This follows the recent leaking of some demo tracks from Alexandra Burke’s upcoming album, which were touted around the tabloids. A spokesperson for Syco said: "Syco are working alongside the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, the British Phonographic Industry, the police and investigators in this and they are making fast progress. We will certainly look to bring charges against those who are responsible. We cannot give any more details at this stage for operational reasons."
Kerry’s sunshine escape
Pictures have emerged of Kerry Katona sunning herself in Tenerife in the wake of her latest drugs scandal. The mum of four has been pictured laughing and playing in the sea alongside her children, but there are calls for her to come back to the UK and face the music after we revealed yesterday that two police officers had visited her Cheshire home. Kerry has claimed that she’s escaped abroad to “clear her head” after a video of her emerged in which she is thought to be snorting cocaine. How handy that the paps just happened to know exactly where she was? Meanwhile, it’s been reported that Kerry has drawn up a shortlist of people she suspects could have planted the camera in her bathroom that filmed the incriminating video. Hmmm, good luck with that.
Brian McFadden to fight for kids
While we’re on the subject of Kerry, we bring you what is probably the least surprising news of the week – Brian McFadden is said to be fighting for custody of the divorced couples two children, Seven year-old Molly and six year-old Lilly Sue. Brian is fuming over allegations that the two young girls were in the house while Kerry was videod allegedly taking drugs, and he is now speaking to lawyers to see what action he can take. A source says: “He is talking to his fiancée Delta Goodrem and is also consulting his lawyers to see what arrangement they can come to about his kids... he no longer wants them to stay with Kerry. He no longer feels that they are safe with her.”
BBC plan Jacko talent show tribute
The BBC are planning to create a new talent show in which they will search for the ultimate Michael Jackson mover. The show will set out to find someone who can perfectly mimic Jacko’s famous dance moves, and it’s thought that his brother Jermaine or sisters Janet or LaToya may make up part of the judging panel. A BBC insider said: "People are so passionate about Michael it makes sense to build a talent show devoted to him and his incredible performances… "Unlike The X Factor we're not really bothered if they can sing like Jacko or not. We want to see them perfecting his dance moves, which let's face it were highly technical and not easy. It won't just be about the moonwalk - but if you can't do the moonwalk you're probably not going to be that much of a Jacko devotee."
