Amelle: "Me and Heidi couldn't carry on with Keisha"
Sugababe Amelle Berrabah has spoken for the first time about Keisha's departure from the band, admitting that she had got to the point where she was ready to quite herself. "I was depressed," she admits, before adding that she'd disappeared for three days because she "couldn't take anymore". It was only when the police turned up at her home that Amelle realised she had to face her problems, so she flew out to LA and told the band's management that she'd had enough. "We [Amelle and Heidi] didn't think they'd want to carry on when we said we'd had enough," she admits. However, with Heidi and Amelle both saying they were unhappy and struggling to come into work, the management took the decision to replace Keisha with Jade Ewen. "I honestly don't know if she was jealous of my Number One (with Tinchy Stryder)," says Amelle. "I don't want to go into aiing things back and forth. I want to move on and be happy."

Strictly's Ricky hates being a favourite
Strictly Come Dancing contestant Ricky Whittle has admitted that he's unhappy to have been labelled as "one to watch" so early in the show, and fears that he won't live up to expectation this weekend. The Hollyoaks star was praised by judges Len Goodman and Alesha Dixon following his appearance in the group dance last week, but instead of making him happy, he's furious. "I'd prefer to be the underdog than the favourite," he moaned. "We're under enough pressure as it is." We think Ricky may be a little grumpy because of all the painful-sounding strains and injuries he's picked up during training. "My body's in pieces," he groaned. "I've pulled muscles I didn't know I had – it's a constant pounding." Poor old Ricky. But we're sure he'll make himself proud tonight.

Robbie was "close to death" with drugs
Robbie Williams had admitted in a new interview that he only quit the drugs after "death came knocking", and that he still fears a relapse is possible. Robbie became hooked on prescription drugs two years ago, and was eventually forced to check himself into rehab on his 33rd birthday. Talking about himself in – rather bizarrely – the third person, Robbie explained, "Robbie Williams does not go into rehab just if his life gets a bit out of control. It was damn serious. Death had to knock on my door to help me with my decision." Although recovered now and very happy with his life, Robbie allows that he could suffer a relapse still, saying, "I have a self-destructive character."

Jaime Winstone arrested
Actress and pineapple head Jaime Winstone was arrested yesterday on suspicion of drink-driving. The young star was stopped by police as she climbed into her car in central London and found to be just over the drink-drive limit. However, she then took a blood test at the station which came up negative, so she was released without charge. You'd have to be a bit drunk to think that a pineapple was a good look for a hairstyle...
