Peter Andre hires SAS security:
Peter Andre has hired two former SAS men as minders, after he became concerned that two female fans had begun stalking him. The women have been spotted lurking outside his home, and have followed him around the country as he promotes his new album. A source close to Pete said last night, "I has freaked Pete out a bit. Now he's not taking any chances." Pete is keen not to become a celebrity who ignores their fans, and as such he always makes time to shake hands and sign autographs. Now experts fear it's this level of familiarity that's led these women to believe they can get close to him. The source went on to explain, "People feel they know him and they are sometimes getting a little close for comfort. Everyone thought interest in him would eventually calm down, but instead it's going from strength to strength." Pete has also said this week that he feels ready to start dating again. Form an orderly queue, ladies...

Sara Cox expecting baby number three!
Sara Cox yesterday announced that she's expecting her third baby – using her official Twitter page to do so! Yep, the Radio 1 DJ wrote jokingly, "How terribly modern of me to say this on Twitter! Wanna share with you just before I do it live on air: I'm pregnant and over the moon xxx." She later said on air that she and partner Ben were "beside themselves with happiness" at the prospect of a little brother or sister for Isaac, one, and four-year-old Lola. Awww. Congratulations guys!

Lily Allen to quit singing
Lily Allen confessed this weekend that she's ready to quit singing for a while to become an actress. Talking backstage at Bestival, where she performed in a, erm, interesting silver outfit which we'll look at in more detail later, Lily said, "I'm not going to record and tour again for quite a while. I'm struggling, so I'm going to try something new." Lily will be following in the footsteps of dad Keith and brother Alfie, and taking to the stage as the lead in new play Reasons To Be Pretty. "They want me to play the lead," Lily said. "Which is amazing and terrifying. I'm always up for a new challenge." We think she'll be great, but don't give up the singing for good, Lil."

Simon: 'The X Factor won't make you a star'

Simon Cowell has issued a warning to all would-be winners of The X Factor, making it clear that even triumphing on the hit show does not guarantee a long career. Simon, whose previous acts Steve Brookstein and Leon Jackson have failed to have long-term success, said matter-of-factly, "We can't guaratee they'll be an international star. The music business is hard, and we don't always get it right." Simon says that success stories such as Leona Lewis and Susan Boyle are rare, but added that being on The X Factor will give you a better chance than anything else. "It comes down to the public." Simon also thinks a man will win the show this year. Did YOU see The X Factor this weekend?
