Jack Tweed officially charged with rape
Jack Tweed was reported to be "sobbing in his cell" last night, as he awaits trial on the charge of rape. The Essex-born club promoter was charged after being taken into custody on Friday morning with his friend Anthony Davis, but the latter was eventually released on police bail. Tweed is under constant supervision at Pentonville Prison in north London, as officials fear he will be targeted by other inmates, given the nature of the charge and of who he is. A 19-year-old girl has claimed she was subjected to a "roasting" by Tweed and his friend. Jade Goody's family are understandably angry, and all say they no longer want anything to do with Jack. The trial is expected to take place in two weeks time, on 21 September.

Katie Price and boyfriend Alex Reid were forced to flee a cage-fighting event this weekend after some guests took a dislike to Alex. The pair were at the event in west London when some onlookers, described as "gipsy bare-knuckle boxers" (yikes!), started having a go at Alex. He managed to keep his cool, but some of the friends he was with did not, and the shouting soon escalated into a full-blown punch-up. Alex was clouted in the face, while Katie herself was knocked to the grown and had to be rescued by security guards. Rather randomly, her ex Dane Bowers was also at the event doing the music, and he had to be held back from diving in to save her. The pair eventually battled their way outside and into a waiting car, but it must have shaken them up. Nice company you're keeping these days, Katie...

Brian and Kerry bicker over their kids
Brian McFadden has hit out at his ex Kerry Katona today, saying that she has banned him from seeing their two daughters. The former Westlife star flew over from Australia shortly after Kerry's alleged cocaine sniffing hit the headlines, but he says the troubled star has so far kept the kids away from him. Brian never actually speaks to Kerry directly, preferring instead that his mum handle all the arrangements. Brian admits openly that he wants his two daughters to come and live with him for a while, saying, "I want Kerry to give me the kids and me and my mum will look after them for the next six months to a year to give her time to get her life together. Pals of Kerry's, however, say she hasn't banned Brian at all, and that she is "terrified" that he will take the kids away from her.

Dannii Minogue has joked that she's like to start a "national campaign" to smarten up her fellow X Factor judge Simon Cowell, saying his current style is "boring". Dannii joked at the weekend, "We need a national campaign. He's letting the side down. We need to ditch the boring trousers and T-shirts!" She argues that dressing up nicely is all part of what makes the show fun, and that the contestants expect the judges to look glamorous. She did allow, however, that Simon has an "amazing power" and it's that which prevents him from coming across as boring. Do YOU think Simon needs a makeover? We wouldn't be sad if we never saw another of his shapeless grey T-shirts, that's for sure.
