LOADS of top celebs team up to battle online bullying

Posted by 19 November 2009 17:25

If you're a fan of Radio 1, then you may be aware of the campaign they are currently running to combat online bullying. A worrying amount of young people are finding themselves the target of online bullies at the moment, and Radio 1 – as well as tons of top celebs – have decided to get behind the issue and do what they can to help. Celebs including Louis Walsh, Alexandra Burke, Dappy, Peter Andre, JLS, Leona Lewis, Alesha Dixon, Chipmunk, Pixie Lott, The Saturdays, Jo Whiley, Scott Mills, Fearne Cotton, Trevor Nelson, Greg James, Vernon Kay, Reggie Yates, Nick Grimshaw, Edith Bowman and Tim Westwood have teamed up to help the campaign, and this is the exclusive video they've made recreating the Baz Luhrmann song Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen). As part of Radio 1 and 1Xtra's six week anti-bullying season, Bebo, Facebook, Habbo, MSN, Myspace and Youtube are joining forces for the first time to try and tackle the increasingly serious issue of online bullying by putting in special measures and advice on their sites. What a great video, and good on all these celebs for supporting this very important campaign.
