Mat Horne has talked about his on-stage collapse for the first time in a new interview, and says it was absolutely nothing to do with his rumoured "party lifestyle". Talking to The Sun, Mat remembers, "I just blacked out and dropped to the floor. The doctors said I might have had a stroke. It was a scary time." Mat was eventually told he was simply suffering from a bad virus, but it took him at least three weeks to feel normal again. "I was pushing myself too hard with work at the time and that definitely contributed," he admits. However, rumours at the time about his hectic "party" lifestyle were hurtful, and Mat admits he found it very tough. Both he and James Corden suffered a barrage of criticism over their work, too, and Mat admits this was very difficult to deal with. "The bad press we were getting was agony," Mat says. "There was nothing we could do but watch it unfold. It felt like there was a real vendetta against us." Mat says he and James have been offered the chance to make another series of Horne & Corden, but are definitely feeling cautious after all the criticism. "We're taking it slowly and making sure it's absolutely right," he says. Are you a fan of Mat and James?
