Robert Pattinson fan hospitalised after poster fight

Posted by Digital 16 November 2009 16:00

We've witnessed first hand just how dedicated and, erm, excitable Robert Pattinson fans can be, but we're still shocked that one of them ended up in hospital after having a fight over a poster! A poster? Not even the real thing? Or a life-size cutout at least? The incident took place in London's Leicester Square on Sunday where hundreds of fans had gathered for the premiere of new documentary film Robsessed. As they waited outside, many dressed in vampire fancy dress, free posters were handed out, but there wasn't enough to go round. "A massive fight broke out between two girls over the last poster," explains 19-year-old Precious Acabousi from Surrey. "There was a lot of pushing and shoving, everyone was crowding around them. I heard gasps as one of the girls fell on the floor, she was in terrible pain and had twisted her arm – she was screaming for help. The poster had been ripped in two." Oh dear. The poor fan was taken to hospital and missed the screening. Not that she would have heard much, as we imagine there was a lot of screaming going on. Now we understand those four security men following R-Pattz around at the New Moon Fan Party last week...

If you're a big R-Pattz fan, make sure you pick up the new issue of heat tomorrow. Seriously, there's a treat in there you won't want to miss...
