Alex Reid's mum blasts Katie Price:
Alex Reid's mum has criticised Katie Price for dumping her son, branding the reality star "cruel" and saing she's worried how Alex will cope. Katie ditched Alex within hours of leaving the I'm A Celeb... jungle earlier this week, and sources say it was mainly because she was so furious he'd sold a story about planning to propose. Alex is now staying in Sydney, but his mum says she cannot get through to him on the phone. "He really loved her and gave up a lot for her," fumed Alex's mum Carol. "And this is how he gets treated by her! It seemed very cruel the way she spoke about Alex." Katie is staying in Australia waiting for her What Katie Did Next film crew to arrive, and then it is thought she'll meet up with Alex face-to-face.

Amanda Holden: "X Factor is boring"

Amanda Holden has taken a pop at The X Factor, claiming it's "boring" and nowhere near as good as Britain's Got Talent. Her comments are thought to have infuriated Simon Cowell (although we're not sure why, considering he works on both shows), but Amanda clearly doesn't care. "I could never be a judge on The X Factor simply because it is only about one type of entertainer. I would get bored to tears watching and listening to singer after singer." Hmmm, and earning all that money would be really boring, too... Do you agree with Amanda that Britain's Got Talent is better than The X Factor, or is she talking nonsense?

It's Take That and Elton John week on X Factor
It's set to be a tough week for the X Factor contestants – they've all been told they must learn two songs. This week is Take That and Elton John week, and Simon Cowell wants all the acts to perform a ballad plus a more uptempo number. Brian Friedman is having to come up with a lot more energetic routines than normal, and insiders say the contestants are starting to feel the strain. This week is also the first time the results will be completely controlled by the viewing public. The judges can comment, but they are no longer able to save an act from getting the boot. Who do YOU think will go this week?

Hollyoaks reveal darkest EVER storyline

Hollyoaks is gearing up for one of its darkest storylines ever this Christmas, as it's revealed that two of the characters killed a child when they were young. Fans of the show will soon be introduced to a character called Chrissy, who tracks down her former childhood friend Loretta. It turns out that Chrissy – who uses her former name Joanna – and Loretta killed a child when they were 12, and now Chrissy is back to mess with her friend. A source from the show explained, "We appreciate the episodes deal with a sensitive subject, but it has all been thoroughly researched. The drama is about how Loretta reacts to Chrissy's arrival back in her life." We knew there was something not quite right about that Loretta! What are your thoughts of this dark storyline?
