Joe McElderry is heading to Hollywood:
Simon Cowell has plans to make X Factor winner Joe McElderry the next big thing in Hollywood, it has been revealed. Simon thinks Joe is the perfect candidate to take over where Zac Efron has left off, and is flying the cute Geordie over to LA after Christmas to meet with some industry bigwigs. According to reports, there are already several offers on the table, and Simon chose the winners song The Climb deliberately, as soon as it became clear Joe was going to win. Joe himself admitted last night that he almost didn't bother auditioning for the X Factor at all this year, as he was so put off after being rejected back in 2007. "Now I'm here I just can't believe it," he said. "It's a dream come true." Did YOU watch Joe sing his way to victory last night? Do you think the right boy won?
Ryan Giggs named Sports Personality of the Year
Joe McElderry wasn't the only guy celebrating a big win last night, Ryan Giggs also picked up the coveted Sports Personality of the Year award, beating off popular choice Jenson Button. A beaming Ryan was clearly surprised to get his gong, saying afterwards, "Perhaps I've become more appreciated as I've got older." Ryan is one of the most successful footballers in England. Massive congratulations to him.
Jude and Sienna moving in together
Jude Law and Sienna Miller are reportedly "in love" once again, and are planning on moving back in together in the New Year. According to sources close to the couple, they have instructed their aides to find them a pad to share in London once their current stints on Broadway in New York come to an end. Sienna is thought to have told Jude that she's still in love with him, and she's keen to take their relationship back to the level it was before they split. The pair originally split for good three years ago, after Jude admitted cheating on Sienna with his kids' nanny, but clearly they've put all this behind them. Good luck to them, we say.
Ali Bastian "too unsexy to win Strictly", claims Arlene
Ali Bastian waltzed out of Strictly Come Dancing this weekend, despite being awarded a perfect score by the judges. Ali and her partner Brian Fortuna, who are rumoured to be dating, ended up losing out in the public vote. Former judge Arlene Phillips today agreed that Ali was the right person to go because she lacked sex appeal on the dance floor. Chris Hollins and Ricky will battle it out in the final next weekend. Who do YOU think should win?
