Posh offered £25million to design hotel
Victoria Beckham has been offered £25million to design a fashion hotel in Dubai, it has been reported today. The former Spice Girl was approached by the ruler of Dubai Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid al-Makoum, who had earlier met her and husband David during a holiday. The hotel will sit on the Isla Moda - a fashion-themed isle off Dubai, and Karl Lagerfeld is also thought to be involved. However, Posh may turn down the lucrative offer because she fears she won't have enough spare time to do the job justice. One friend explained, "The fee offered to Victoria was astronomical. She was absolutely stunned. If she accepts the offer, she wants to be very hands-on and involved with all the decision making." Um, Mr Sheik, if she says no, we're sure we could free up some time in our hectic schedule...
Robbie signs up for Haiti charity single
Robbie Williams has become the latest artist to lend his vocals to the Haiti charity single, meaning he'll be working with his old band Take That again. Robbie said he was "honoured" to be asked to help, adding, "We can all do something to help the people of Haiti - and I urge people to do what they can." Recording on the song is already well underway and organiser Simon Cowell is eager to get it finished as soon as possible. Take That are due in the studio in LA today to record their slot, and it's thought Robbie's vocals will be added later. The single also features the likes of Leona Lewis, JLS, Joe McElderry and Mariah Carey.
Denise Van Outen is having a girl!
Denise Van Outen has revealed that she and husband Lee Mead are expecting a girl - and that her nickname is teapot. A glowing Denise said, "We're getting excited about the things we're going to do - like buy her a fairy costume." Denise added that she and Lee have picked a traditional name for their daughter, but that it's going to remain a secret until the birth. Hmmm, if Teapot is a codename, then what could it be? Also celebrating happy baby news today is Westlife's Shane Filan and his wife Gillian. They welcomed their new baby son Shane Peter Filan this weekend and both parents are said to be thrilled. P Diddy buys £220K car for son who can't drive
P Diddy has splashed out £220,000 on a new car for his son Justin Dior - but the 16-year-old doesn't even have a driving license! The doting rapper must have realised this small issue, however, because he also remembered to add a personal chauffeur to the birthday package. P Diddy presented the limo - which was decorated with a huge red bow - at a lavish party for his son and friends. He also made a speech telling everyone how proud he was of the way Justin Dior has grown up and matured. Still, we'd put up with a cringe-worthy speech from our dad if the gifts were this good. Imagine a limo being your first car? It makes our crappy old Ford Fiesta seem, erm, crappy in comparison.
