Katie Price ordered Alex and Dane to make up:
Katie Price ordered boyfriend Alex Reid and ex Dane Bowers to kiss and make up before entering the Celebrity Big Brother house, it has been reported today. According to sources, Katie was furious about the bust-up that happened at her house on New Year's Eve, and thought it would make Alex look like a thug. "Alex apologised because Katie asked him to," explains the friend. "He loves her and he doesn't want to jepordise their relationship." It is also being reported that Channel 4 bosses held crisis talks after the alleged fight, making both Alex and Dane promise they wouldn't behave badly towards one another once they were in the house. Really? But surely the whole reason they're both in there in the first place is to watch the friction? Did you see the launch show last night? And what do you think about Alex and Dane's show of friendship?
Robbie and Dave Berry both pop the question
Robbie Williams and his girlfriend Ayda Field are officially engaged - and the lucky girl has been proudly showing off her huge engagement ring. Robster reportedly got down on one knee a few days before New Year at the couple's home in LA, and an excited Ayda of course said yes straight away. Yesterday the pair both turned up to the annual England versus Scotland football match in LA, in which Robbie was taking part, and Ayda's huge rock was plain for all to see. One source said, "Ayda had a smile on her face all afternoon. Robbie has found his soulmate." There's also happy news for Sugababe Heidi Range and her long-term boyfriend Dave Berry. The pair also got engaged on New Year's Eve after Dave popped the question. All together now: awwwww.
SATC's Kim is NOT a maneater
Kim Cattrall has admitted she's nothing like her man-eating character Samantha Jones from Sex And The City, saying she's actually "totally insecure". Asked if there were any similarities between herself and Samantha, Kim replied, "I could not go into a bar and pick up a man - that is so foreign to me it's not even in my hemisphere. I am totally insecure. That is predatory behaviour and I don't consider myself a predator." Must be good fun pretending to be one for a while though, eh Kim?
New Doctor Who slammed for ginger comment
New Doctor Who star Matt Smith hasn't even appeared in a full episode of the hit show yet, but he's already managed to enrage a number of fans. When Matt made his debut as the Doctor on New Year's Day, one of his first lines as he checked out his new appearance was, "Still not ginger." The comment, which is clearly a harmless joke, upset a number of mums who fear their kids will be bullied at school as a result. One angry viewer said, "I think it's totally inappropriate for the Doctor to make fun of people with ginger hair - I think it will encourage bullying." Erm, really? Show insiders and fans in the know are adamant the comment is an in-joke that is actually meant as a compliment. Sounds like a lot of fuss about absolutely nothing to us...
