Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin was rushed to hospital in New York in the early hours of this morning. The star's teenage daughter Ireland called an ambulance to his Central Park West apartment after she discovered him to be "unresponsive" and he was taken straight to Lenox Hill hospital. Alec remained at the hospital for over an hour before leaving and returning home. His condition at this time is reported to be unclear. The star's rep has yet to issue a statement but he is thought to be in no immediate danger.
Update: According to a report just in, Alec Baldwin's stay in hospital was simply down to a "misunderstanding". The star's rep has said in a statement, "This was a misunderstanding on one person's part. Alec was quickly released from the hospital he's completely fine and will be at work today." Reports in the US are speculating that Alec may have threatened to take some pills, causing his daughter to call the paramedics, although this has not been confirmed.
