Katie and Alex's marriage is "doomed" claims friend
Katie Price and Alex Reid's marriage is doomed, a friend of the couple has claimed today. According to the source, Katie's main motivation for tying the knot is to do with making money and the pal fears the marriage will crumble once Alex Reid "tires of her bullying". "Katie doesn't care whether this lasts or not," claims the mystery source. "Two weeks ago she was ready to dump Alex - then he goes on to win Celebrity Big Brother and she marries him. She knows it will make her another few million in magazine deals." It was revealed today that Katie and Alex spent their wedding night with friends at a strip club in Vegas. Katie's agent has insisted the marriage is simply down to the fact they love each other and has nothing to do with cashing in.
Peter Andre cancels interviews after tearful outburst
Peter Andre yesterday cancelled a string of pre-booked interviews following his emotional appearance on Sky News. The singer held back the tears as he was quizzed about his children possibly being adopted by Alex Reid - a claim that has never been made from either Alex or Katie - and refused to carry on with the interview. Last night a source close to Pete told us he was "fine" and that the whole episode now felt like "a blur". Katie has also yet to tell her children she has married Alex and Pete has admitted it might be down to him. "I haven't got to that point yet," he said. "That's something I've got to explain."
Louis takes over Simon's BGT seat
Louis Walsh was yesterday drafted in to replace a flu-ridden Simon Cowell on the Britain's Got Talent judging panel, after the music mogul took his first-ever day off. Simon admitted he'd been "knocked for six" by a nasty virus, and Louis was delighted to take over his seat at the Birmingham auditions, saying, "I'm happy to be helping a mate out. I'm a huge fan of the show." Fellow judge Amanda Holden admitted she was glad Simon had taken a sick day, joking, "It feels like the teacher's off and I can mess about." Get well soon, Simon!
Horne and Corden deny "not speaking" claims
James Corden and Mathew Horne have allegedly gone from best friends to barely speaking because they're "sick to death" of each other. The comedy duo have shelved plans to make another series of their sketch show Horne & Corden and insiders are claiming they haven't even seen each other for months. One friend explained, "They slowly started irritating each other to the point where now they don't speak. They seem sick to death of each other." However, when quizzed on the rift last night, James insisted, "We are incredibly close mates and I love him dearly." And, just this morning, Mat Horne Tweeted a message saying, "Me and James Corden remain friends in our special bromance." Clearly someone's got their facts wrong. We're relieved.
