Vernon Kay last night admitted to having "sexy text" affairs with five women. The TV host was exposed as having exchanged messages with Page 3 model Rhian Sugden and last night he admitted to carrying on in the same way with four other girls. "I'm so sorry," he said. "I've been an idiot and I've let my family down." Vernon insists that his naughty hobby never went further than messages, saying, "I thought it was harmless banter and just larking around. I've been stupid and daft, but I'm not a sex pest." The Family Fortunes host said most of the girls he sent messages to were friends and colleagues, adding, "I'll do whatever it takes to resolve the situation. I'm so sorry." It's poor Tess we feel sorry for. We hope she's giving him hell.
Katie Price admits lying about Alex Reid break-up
Katie Price confessed yesterday that she hadn't told the whole truth about her relationship with Alex Reid, and that she deliberately pretended the pair had split up. "None of you knew about it," she told a crowded press conference. "You can see [in the show] relationships can happen and we don't have to tell people everything." Katie has admitted before that after her stint on I'm A Celeb she wanted to lay low with Alex, and yesterday she made it clear the couple would be more "private" than her and Peter Andre were. "We are going to be more mysterious, more private," she promised. "It's my way - not your way!" Erm, it's not like we beg to know all the ins and outs, she just puts them out there. Still, we'll be interested to see if she really sticks to this "private" stuff.
Britney Spears to collaborate with Lady GaGa?
Lady GaGa has been a big Britney Spears fan for years, and now it looks like she may finally get to work with her idol. The pair met at the Grammys after Lady GaGa's dad approached Britters and now they have plans to head into the studio together. A source revealed, "GaGa has made no secret of just how much of a Britney fan she is. They have agreed to work on some music together as soon as GaGa finishes her Fame Monster tour." Sounds exciting, although we can't quite picture Britney in some of the stuff GaGa wears.
The Wombles to play Glastonbury!
The Wombles may reform to play the main stage at this year's Glastonbury Festival, it has been reported today. The kids' band had a string of Top Ten hits back in the 1970s, and now say they'd like to get back together for a one-off performance on the Pyramid Stage. We think this is much more exciting than U2, Muse or even Stevie Wonder. The Wombles! Imagine! Maybe they'd even hang around to help pick up all the litter after the event...
