With the news last week that the new Bond film has been put on hold because it costs too much to make, Danny Dyer thinks he may have come up with a solution - he will take on the lead role at a fraction of the cost. “Getting me in would help them right out,” Danny told Zoo magazine. “I’d do it for £200 a week.” There’s even a Facebook group campaigning for this to happen now – and Danny’s thrilled about it. “That’s a mad idea, but I think I could pull it out of the bag,” he says. “You don’t need £60m to make a film; most of mine are made for under £1m. As long as you’ve got your star man and the right people around him, that’s all that matters. F**k the CGI bollocks – go back to the old school. Keep campaigning, lads – I won’t let the side down.” As much as we adore Danny Dyer (and we really do) we can’t quite picture him as a serious Bond, although we do like the idea of him in some Daniel Craig-esque trunks… What do you think? Does Danny have what it takes to be the next James Bond? Vote below.
