If only our lives were such that the only thing we moaned about was being “too good-looking”. Bring out the tiny violins everyone, because David Gandy almost didn’t make it as a model because he was “too good-looking”. Talking about his now successful career with Jonathan Ross (on tonight, BBC1, 10.35pm), David explains, “I was laughed off for the first couple of years, I was told I was too good-looking. It was all androgynous, skinny, [they] resembled women more than guys.” He also thinks celebs that pursue modelling on the side, like David Beckham, should “stick to their day jobs”. Oooh, do we sense a hint of bitterness? David also admits he was chubby as a teenager, telling Rossy, “I loved a pie!” We can’t imagine a chubby Gandy. We actually prefer to imagine a naked Gandy, if we’re honest. Do you find this man scrumptious, or do you think he’s more Gaffney than gorgeous?
