Cheryl Cole hits back at Lostprophets
Cheryl Cole has hit back at claims she pinched all the Radio 1 Big Weekend passes for her friends and family. Welsh band the Lostprophets claimed this morning that their family and friends were not given any VIP passes because Cheryl was bringing her crowd along, and that they probably didn’t want “common people asking for autographs”. However, Cheryl’s PR company earlier posted a message on Twitter that read: “Dear Lost Prophets, Cheryl did not have any family or friends at 1BW. Maybe Radio 1 thought you weren't worthy of VIP tickets.” Ouch! And double ouch not spelling the band’s name correctly. It’s almost as if they don’t care. We all know that Justin Bieber was the biggest diva at the event, anyway.
Lindsay Lohan: “I don’t deserve to go to prison”
Lindsay Lohan has used the time while she waits to go back to court by having a little rant about her situation, and saying firmly that she’s done nothing to warrant a jail sentence. “I don't see what reason I would go to prison for,” she says. “I've been more than compliant with everything having to do with the court system.” Asked about the alleged theft of her passport (and her subsequent stay in Cannes), Li-Lo snapped, “I had no option but to stay there. I immediately was trying to find ways out.” Ways out to the nearest party, perhaps… She refused to talk about her dad, dismissing him and saying, “He clearly isn’t sane.” We’re glad to see she has some sense left.
Flood causes £100,000 damage to Kate Moss’ home
Kate Moss is looking at an estimated £100,000 worth of damage after her posh north-London pad was flooded with sewage. The accident happened after a pump in her basement failed causing the gunk to flood inside, taking out a number of expensive clothes and photographs with it. Kate had just had a few of the rooms decorated with extremely expensive paint and she also lost a number of vastly expensive rugs and furnishings. For now the model has moved into rented accommodation while the mess is cleared up. Surely she’s immune to sewage smell after spending all that time with Pete Doherty, no?
Sophie Dahl slams marriage rumours
Sophie Dahl has denied rumours that her marriage to musician Jamie Cullum is in trouble, saying angrily that they are “happier than ever”. Sophie was accused of letting her weight fluctuate because of the “stress” of her marriage, but this weekend she hit back on her Twitter page. “Just for the record, me and Jamie are happier than ever and are settled on the sofa together snug as a bug watching TV,” she said. “I have never or will never go out my way to be thin. I have no control over my weight, and it fluctuates as and when it pleases. This has nothing to do with the supposed 'stress' over my marriage, as was falsely reported.” There you go then.
