Lady Gaga fans furious over gory routine
Lady Gaga left a number of fans upset and appalled after she acted out being killed in a cannibal-style attack live on stage. The star was performing at the MEN Arena in Manchester as part of her Monsters Ball tour, and during one number she was grabbed from behind by black-clothed dancers who seemed to bite her. When the singer emerged she was covered in fake blood running down her neck. While this isn’t the first time Lady Gaga has used fake blood as a prop during one of her shows, it’s the first time it has coincided with a cannibal news story running in the British newspapers. Some critics think she should have binned the routine out of respect, while some fans just thought it was a bit too much for the younger members of the audience to stomach. One mum said she was “sickened” by the routine. Do you think Lady Gaga should have reined it in a bit given the recent tragedies, or should people accept that an artist of her style is always going to do things a little differently?
Charlotte Church flees UK for mystery location
Charlotte Church has packed up her kids and her bags and fled the UK. The singer and TV star told friends she’d “had enough” of hanging around at home in the wake of her split from fiancé Gavin Henson, and that she just needs to spend a bit of time on her own. This follows Gavin’s decision to jet off on a lads’ holiday to Spain just days after his and Charl’s break-up was made public but, unlike his savvy ex, he didn’t keep the location of his destination a secret. Charlotte has taken the couple’s two children with her to a mystery destination somewhere in Europe and told friends she has no plans to return any time soon.
Hoult and Patel sign up for Skins movie
Original cast members Nicholas Hoult and Dev Patel have agreed to reprise their roles in the upcoming Skins movie. Both Nicholas and Dev have gone on to carve successful careers in movie acting – and Dev has even blagged his very own leading lady in the shape of Slumdog co-star Freida Pinto. However, both lads are said to be thrilled at the prospect of going back to the roles that made them famous. It is hoped a number of faces from all four series of Skins will come back for the film. This is very good news, especially because we want to know what happened to Cook!
Charlie Simpson bans use of Busted name
Former Busted star Charlie Simpson has put his foot down and refused to allow James Bourne and Matt Willis to use the original band name when they go on tour later this year. Charlie, who is now a member of Fightstar, has always been adamant that he wants no part in a Busted reunion – but now he’s even refusing to let his former band mates and friends the opportunity to tour as Busted. We can understand his reluctance to take part, but is it really necessary to go to this extreme?
